Itinerary

The itinerary is the starting point to your tour, but it’s not set in stone. Your group leader may make changes leading up to departure.

Day 1, Monday September 8: Overnight Flight

Departure from the United States.

Day 2, Tuesday September 9: Edinburgh

Meet your tour manager after landing at Edinburgh Airport, and together travel to the centre of Edinburgh, where you will enjoy a guided walking tour of the historic Old Town of Edinburgh, taking in the Royal Mile and its striking 17th century merchants’ houses, its cathedral and Edinburgh Castle, which houses the Scottish crown jewels and the Stone of Destiny, and affords tunning views out over the Firth of Forth. In the evening enjoy a welcome dinner in a local restaurant in the city (D)

Day 3, Wednesday September 10: Edinburgh

Today's journey will take you to the city of Stirling, to visit to the famous Castle that is a fundamental landmark in Scottish history. Here you may have the opportunity to give a short informal recital to the local tourists in the Chapel Royal at Stirling Castle or a similar venue. Return to Edinburgh and enjoy dinner on your own tonight. (B)

Day 4, Thursday September 11: Edinburgh

After breakfast spend the morning exploring the city, including entrance to the Edinburgh Castle, before preparing for your concert in a local church such as Greyfriars or St Giles, before taking dinner independently (B)

Day 5, Friday September 12: York

After breakfast depart for the Roman and Viking city of York. Upon arrival, enjoy a guided sightseeing tour and visit the iconic York Minster. Tonight give a concert in a local church such as St Helen's in the city (B)

Day 6, Saturday September 13: Cambridge

Depart for Cambridge where after an independent lunch your tour manager will take you on a walking tour of some of the colleges of the world’s fourth-oldest university, founded in 1209. You’ll also visit the world famous King’s College, one of the 31 colleges that comprise the university, filled with notable examples of Gothic architecture. Enjoy the rest of your day exploring this wonderful English city at your own pace - possibly try your hand at Punting on the River Cam! (B)

Day 7, Sunday September 14: London

This morning make the short journey to one of the famous Cambridge College Chapels, where you will have the opportunity to sing at the morning service. Before leaving the city, make a quick stop at the Cambridge American Cemetery and Memorial, which commemorates American service men and women who died in World War II. Continue to the nation's capital city, London where you will check into your hotel and have the rest of the early evening to explore at your leisure. Dinner will be on your own. (B)

Day 8, Monday September 15: London

This morning, learn about London's majestic past and fast-paced present on your guided sightseeing tour. See Trafalgar Square, the Houses of Parliament, Westminster Abbey and Buckingham Palace. Along the way, your guide will point out more landmark sites like the Gherkin, the Shard, and the Cheese Grater – all new buildings changing the London skyline. This afternoon rehease and perform your final concert of the tour at Holy Trinity Church in Kensington or a similar local venue. (B)

Day 9, Tuesday September 16: London

An early start has you taking a tour through British history at the Tower of London. Since its construction the castle has been used as a treasury, a palace and a prison. Today, the Tower houses the English Crown Jewels. Marvel at the extraordinary array of diamonds, rubies, sapphires and other precious stones that adorn the crown! The rest of the afternoon is yours to explore London at your own pace: perhaps visit some of London's iconic museums and galleries, sample the food delights of Borough Market, or enjoy the green space of Hyde Park. Tonight, enjoy a final dinner all together to celebrate your successful performance tour! (B)

Day 10, Wednesday September 17: Departure

Transfer to the airport for return flight to the United States. (B)
