Itinerary

The itinerary is the starting point to your tour, but it’s not set in stone. Your group leader may make changes leading up to departure.

Day 1, Monday June 30: Overnight Flight

Departure from the United States.

Day 2, Tuesday July 1: Glasgow

Arrive in Glasgow and meet your Tour Manager for the transfer into the city. Discover downtown Glasgow on an orientation tour before checking in to the Voco Grand Central Glasgow Hotel, the starting point for our fabulous musical and cultural journey together! Enjoy a private welcome reception featuring traditional Scottish musicians followed by dinner. (D)

Day 3, Wednesday July 2: Glasgow

After breakfast at the hotel, enjoy a guided sightseeing tour this morning including an entrance to St Mungo's Cathedral. The tour will conclude at The Burrell Collection where you'll begin rehearsing for your fist concert performance of the tour at 1:00pm! Return to the hotel to freshen up before heading to St. Georges Square. The rest of the afternoon will be at your leisure before enjoying dinner together in a local restaurant. (B,D)

Day 4, Thursday July 3: Oban

Board your private coach and head north for the bonnie banks of Loch Lomond. At Tarbet we are welcomed by the sound of bagpipes ringing around the Loch as we embark on a cruise of the famous Loch. Have lunch on your own before continuing to Oban. Upon arrival check into your hotel and have dinner together as a group. (B,D)

Day 5, Friday July 4: Oban

Our day starts with our taking a picturesque ferry ride to the beautiful Isle Mull. We will traverse the island as we head to Fionnphort and a short ferry to the famed island of Iona, to visit the Abbey. Board the ferry and return to Isle Mull, stopping at Three Lochs Viewpoint and Duart Castle, if time allows. Head back to Oban for an evening to explore at your leisure. (B)

Day 6, Saturday July 5: Inverness

Take in stunning scenery as you travel along the shores of Loch Linnhe, perhaps stopping for a visit in Glencoe and on to Fort William to find lunch. Continue through the Highlands to Loch Ness and a visit of Urquhart Castle, then check in to your hotel in Inverness. Enjoy dinner at the hotel this evening. (B,D)

Day 7, Sunday July 6: Inverness

After breakfast, transfer to the Inverness Marina. Enjoy a morning cruise around the Moray Firth to enjoy the scenery and abundant wildlife such as otters, seals and porpoises. Back on dry land, head to Culloden, location of the battle pivotal in Scottish history. Then head to Bogbain Farm where you'll enjoy a very special musically themed whisky tasting with your host Bruce, one of the country's finest fiddlers! Return to Inverness where you'll have dinner together at the hotel. (B,D)

Day 8, Monday July 7: Edinburgh

Leaving Inverness, we head south toward Edinburgh through the Cairngorms National Park and via a stop to visit Stirling Castle where you'll have your second concert performance at 2:00pm! Continue to Edinburgh and check into your hotel upon arrival.Enjoy dinner together this evening. (B,D)

Day 9, Tuesday July 8: Edinburgh

Today begins with a guided tour of the fascinating Rosslyn Chapel, a 15th century chapel that was prominently featured in the 2003 novel The DaVinci Code. It is said, that visit to Rosslyn even inspired some lines in Robert Burns famous poem, Tam O'Shanter. There will be the opportunity for a brief informal sing in this lovely setting. After, head to the Murrayside Care Home to perform for the residents, followed by a reception with refreshments. Return to Edinburgh for a walking tour of the Old Town and entrance to Edinburgh Castle. Enjoy an evening at your leisure and dinner on your own. (B)

Day 10, Wednesday July 9: Edinburgh

The morning is free to explore the many sights and sounds of Edinburgh at your leisure. This afternoon, come together for rehearsal and your final concert of the tour at 1:30pm at St. Giles Cathedral, situated right on the Royal Mile. Enjoy an afternoon at leisure and a farewell dinner this evening to share your favorite memories of a great trip! (B,D)

Day 11, Thursday July 10: Departure

Transfer to the airport for return flight to the United States. (B)
