The itinerary is the starting point to your tour, but it’s not set in stone. Your group leader may make changes leading up to departure.

Day 1, Sunday June 6: Overnight Flight

Departure from the United States.

Day 2, Monday June 7: Berlin

Welcome to Germany! Arrive at the airport and meet your tour manager to head into central Berlin. Dive straight into the recent history of the city which was divided in two by the Berlin Wall until 1990: you'll take in Checkpoint Charlie and the Wall Museum as well as a sombre reminder of the Holocaust at the iconic memorial. Head to your hotel in time for a welcome dinner together (B,D)

Day 3, Tuesday June 8: Berlin

This morning visit the Alter Nationale Galerie, one of the wonderful museums on the famous Berlin Museum Island. Later explore a more contemporary side to the Berlin art scene with a street art workshop. After an early dinner enjoy a performance by one of the world's great orchestras, the Berlin Philharmonic (subject to scheduling and availability) at the Philharmonie concert hall. (B,D)

Day 4, Wednesday June 9: Leipzig

Check out of the hotel this morning and depart for Dresden, the "Florence on the Elbe, which since German reunification in 1990 has emerged as a cultural, political, and economic center in the eastern part of Germany. Visit the spectacular Green Vault housing some of the nation's most precious artworks and jewels, before taking a tour of the Semper Oper opera house. Continue to the musical city of Leipzig in time for dinner (B,D)

Day 5, Thursday June 10: Leipzig

After breakfast in your hotel take a tour of historic Leipzig, including visits to the Grassi Museum with its famous instrument collection, and the Thomaskirche, the final resting place of the great composer JS Bach. This afternoon is free to explore the center of Leipzig before dinner in a traditional restaurant (B,D)

Day 6, Friday June 11: Prague

After breakfast check out and make the scenic journey to the Czech capital Prague. This afternoon experience some of the best art that Prague has to offer in the National Gallery and the Mucha Museum, dedicated to the artist Alfonse Mucha. Later after an early dinner settle in for the unique Black Light Theater show (B,D)

Day 7, Saturday June 12: Prague

This morning take a walking tour of the Old Town area of Prague, before visiting the famous Estates Theater, where Mozart himself conducted the premiere of Don Giovanni. Enjoy some free time in the historic center, before rounding off your visit tot he city with a cruise on the inspirational river Vltava with a buffet supper (B,D)

Day 8, Sunday June 13: Salzburg

This morning check out and head south into Austria where our first stop is the pretty city of Salzburg. On arrival take a tour of the city to include the famous Salzburg Fortress, reached by a steep funicular railway, and Mozart's birthplace museum in the heart of the city. Later head to your hotel in time for dinner (B,D)

Day 9, Monday June 14: Salzburg

Today take a trip into the stunning Salzburgerland lake district, and discover the 'white gold' that gave the city its name as you first take the cable car, and then descend into a perfectly preserved saltmine, complete with underground boat trip. Later explore the picture postcard town of Hallstatt, before returning to the city after dinner (B,D)

Day 10, Tuesday June 15: Vienna

After breakfast depart East to the capital Vienna, through the rolling Alpine foothills of the Austrian countryside. On arrival in the city take a guided tour taking in some of the main sights including St Stephens Cathedral, the Philharmonic and State opera. Later after dinner enjoy special evening access to the Haus der Musik, one of Europe's best interactive music museums (B,D)

Day 11, Wednesday June 16: Vienna

This morning visit the Belvedere Museum, housing the largest collection of art in Austria and including some major works by Klimt, Monet, and major European Expressionist artists. This afternoon is free to explore the famous shopping streets of the Kartnerstrasse area. Tonight after an early dinner take in a perforance at the Konzerthaus (subject to scheduling and availability) (B,D)

Day 12, Thursday June 17: Budapest

Check out of the hotel and board the bus today for a visit to Eisenstadt. Entrances are included to the Bergkiche to view the Haydnmausoleum and the Esterhazy Palace and Haydnsaal where Haydn once worked for the Prince Esterhazy. Continue to the Hungarian capital of Budapest, one of Europe's finest cities and check in to the hotel. Tonight after dinner experience a visit to the Hungarian State Opera (subject to availability and scheduling) (B,D)

Day 13, Friday June 18: Budapest

Spend the morning on a tour of this historic city including the Castle District, a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage site; the beautiful Matthias Church and the neo-Romanesque Fishermen’s Bastion. This afternoon take a private tour of one of Europe's great music conservatories, the Liszt Academy, before rounding off your trip with a traditional farewell dinner with folk entertainment (B,D)

Day 14, Saturday June 19: Departure

Transfer to the airport for return flight to the United States. (B)
