The Diana and Joel Peterson School of Music Tour

The itinerary is the starting point to your tour, but it’s not set in stone. Your group leader may make changes leading up to departure.

Day 1, Thursday June 10: Overnight Flight

Depart Salt lake City on your overnight flight to Vienna.

Day 2, Friday June 11: Vienna

Arrive at the Vienna airport and meet your Encore Tour Manager. Transfer to the city center where your Tour Manager will take you on an introductory walking tour to aquaint yourself with this elegant city. Enjoy dinner together at a local restaurant this evening. (D)

Day 3, Saturday June 12: Vienna

After breakfast at your hotel, meet a local guide for a tour of this elegant city that highlights the musically rich history of Vienna. From St. Stephen's Cathedral, to the Vienna House of Music and the famous graveyard where Vienna's Maestos rest, the day will be filled with music history and sounds of Waltz. Have lunch on your own and an afternoon before rehearsal at a local venue. This evening, you'll have your first concert performance! Enjoy dinner together at a local restaurant following the performance. (B,D)

Day 4, Sunday June 13: Vienna

After breakfast at your hotel, journey outside Vienna to nearby Eisenstadt for a tour of the Esterhazy Palace where Haydn was court composer. From it's elegant residental rooms to the famous Haydnsaal where Haydn conducted many concerts, this tour is sure to be a highlight. Next, visit the Haydn Mausoleum where the famous composer was laid to rest. After lunch on your own, return to Vienna for a tour of the Central Cemetary. Enjoy an afternoon at leisure before having dinner together at a local restaurant. (B,D)

Day 5, Monday June 14: Salzburg

After breakfast at your hotel, travel to the city of Mozart, Salzburg. Upon arrival check into your new hotel. Next, enjoy a guided city sightseeing tour that includes a visit of the elegant Mirabell gardens, an entrance to the Mozart Birthplace and funicular passes to the Hohensalzburg fortress for magnificent views of the city. This evening, enjoy dinner together at a local restaurant. (B,D)

Day 6, Tuesday June 15: Salzburg

This morning after breakfast at your hotel, visit Hallstatt for a fun and interactive tour of the Salt Mines that give name to the city of Salzburg! This afternoon, have lunch on your own before preparing for your performance in this charming Alpine community with spectacular vistas and traditional half-timbered buildings. Celebrate an amazing performance tour over dinner at a local restaurant. (B,D)

Day 7, Wednesday June 16: Salzburg

Enjoy an excursion to Berchtesgaden to visit the Eagle's Nest . This afternoon, return to Salzburg for free time to explore on your own and shop for last minute souvenirs. Meet this evening to enjoy a special farewell dinner at a local restaurant. (B,D)

Day 8, Thursday June 17: Departure

Transfer to the airport for return flight to the United States. (B)
