Day 1, Thursday April 15: Overnight Flight

Departure from the United States.

Day 2, Friday April 16: Ljubljana

Arrive in the lovely city of Ljubljana today, the pocket-sized capital of Slovenia, boasting a dazzling hilltop castle and the emerald-green Ljubljanica River. It is often referred to as Salzburg of the South. On arrival, meet your Tour Manager, check in to the hotel and enjoy time to explore at your leisure. Tonight, have dinner together. (B,D)

Day 3, Saturday April 17: Ljubljana

This morning, a local guide will take you on a sightseeing tour of this lovely small capital city to see the many highlights. Later this afternoon, meet at your first venue where you will rehearse for tonight's concert performance at a local venue such as St. Nicholas Cathedral. Enjoy dinner together this evening pre-concert at a local restaurant such as Restaurant Gostina Sokol.(B,D)

Day 4, Sunday April 18: Opatija

Wake up and travel to Istria, a region known for its breathtaking landscapes, coastal beauty, and rich cultural heritage. After a leisurely breakfast, embark on a journey through the heart of the peninsula. Start with a visit to the medieval town of Rovinj, where narrow cobblestone streets wind their way up to the Church of St. Euphemia, offering panoramic views of the Adriatic. Then, continue south to Pula, home to the remarkably well-preserved Roman amphitheater, a testament to the area’s ancient past. Spend the afternoon strolling through the quaint villages of central Istria, such as Motovun and Buzet, perched atop rolling hills with sweeping views of lush vineyards and olive groves (B,D)

Day 5, Monday April 19: Zagreb

This morning, start your day with a refreshing swim in the Adriatic, basking in the sun before continuing your journey. Next, travel to Zagreb, the vibrant capital of Croatia. Upon arrival, check into your hotel and set off on an exploration of the city with your knowledgeable Tour Manager, who will guide you through its rich history and culture. Conclude your day with a delightful dinner together, savoring local flavors and sharing stories of your adventures.

Day 6, Tuesday April 20: Zagreb

Spend the morning at St. Mark’s Cathedral, rehearsing for a concert in conjunction with a local ensemble. Enjoy a sightseeing tour of Zagreb, then dinner at a local restaurant. (B,D)

Day 7, Wednesday April 21: Lake Balaton

This morning, check out of your hotel and depart for Lake Balaton, the largest freshwater lake in Eastern Europe. The lake is a major holiday destination with beaches, volcanic hills, resort towns and high-rise hotels along its 197km shoreline. Enjoy some leisure time this afternoon to relax on the beach or go for a swim. Tonight have dinner together at your hotel. (B,D)

Day 8, Thursday April 22: Budapest

Today, enjoy a morning guided sightseeing tour of the city on both the Buda and Pest sides of the Danube River. On the Buda side explore the Castle District including Matthias Church and Fisherman’s Bastion and on the Pest side visit Heroes Square, the State Opera House and St. Stephen’s Cathedral

Day 9, Friday April 23: Budapest

oday, we’ll immerse ourselves in the rich musical heritage of Hungary with a visit to either the renowned Liszt Academy or the Hungarian House of Music, both of which celebrate the country's deep connection to classical and contemporary music. After exploring these iconic institutions, we'll return to prepare for our final concert, a culmination of our journey and musical efforts. As the evening approaches, we'll gather for a heartfelt farewell dinner, where we’ll celebrate the memories and friendships made during this unforgettable experience, enjoying delicious local cuisine and reflecting on the highlights of our time together.

Day 10, Saturday April 24: Departure

Transfer to the airport for return flight to the United States. (B)
