Itinerary
The itinerary is the starting point to your tour, but it’s not set in stone. Your group leader may make changes leading up to departure.
Day 1, Saturday June 19: Montreal
Early this morning, depart from Boston by luxury coach on your journey to Canada or you may opt to fly from Boston. Arrive in the heart of Old Montreal this afternoon, where you’ll meet your Tour Manager who will accompany you throughout your tour. Then take the stage for your first choral performance sharing your music in this culturally rich setting at the stunning Notre-Dame Basilica of Montreal, renowned for its breathtaking interior and rich history or similar. Later, gather for dinner at a charming neighborhood bistro. This evening, take in Montreal-by-Nite with a scenic drive to the top of Mont Royal for sweeping views of the city skyline. Afterward, check into your hotel and settle in for the night in Montreal. (D)
Day 2, Sunday June 20: Montreal
After breakfast at the hotel, travel to McGill University for a clinic (pending availability and approval), offering the opportunity to work with esteemed faculty in a renowned academic setting. Enjoy free time for lunch and shopping before continuing your exploration of the city. This afternoon, drive to the top of Mont Royal to visit L'Oratoire St. Joseph, one of the most imposing landmarks in Montreal, whose dome is the third largest of its kind in the world. Take time to explore this remarkable site at your own pace. Then, visit the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts, one of the oldest museums in North America, home to an extensive collection spanning from antiquity to the present day. This evening, enjoy dinner together at a local bistro before returning to your hotel for the night in Montreal. (B,D)
Day 3, Monday June 21: Quebec
After breakfast at the hotel, check out and depart for Quebec City. Upon arrival, enjoy free time for lunch and shopping in the charming historic district of Old Quebec. Subject to availability, take the stage for another performance at a local venue or as an exchange performance opportunity. This evening, gather for dinner at a local bistro before experiencing “Quebec by Night,” an exciting tour within the fortifications. Begin at the port of Place Royale and ride across the majestic St. Lawrence River aboard the Quebec Ferry, taking in illuminated views of the iconic Château Frontenac and the imposing outer fortifications of Old Quebec City. Back on shore, climb to the top of the cliff via the glass funicular elevator for breathtaking views and photo opportunities from Dufferin Terrace at the base of the Château Frontenac. Return to your hotel and settle in for the night in Quebec City. (B,D)
Day 4, Tuesday June 22: Quebec
This morning, board your motor coach for a guided sightseeing tour of Greater Quebec. Highlights include the Plains of Abraham, the imposing Citadel and Martello towers, Parliament Hill, La Place d’Armes, and the Latin Quarters, as well as a walking tour through the narrow, cobbled streets of Place Royale, the birthplace of Quebec. Enjoy free time for lunch and shopping in Old Quebec before visiting the Citadelle of Québec, a functioning military installation and the largest British fortress in North America. This evening, gather for dinner at a local bistro before returning to your hotel for the night in Quebec City. (B,D)
Day 5, Wednesday June 23: Quebec
After breakfast at the hotel, board your motor coach for a scenic excursion along the Beaupré Coast, known for its panoramic views and cultural landmarks. Visit the Albert Gilles Copper Art Museum and the Christorama Museum, then continue to the magnificent Basilique Sainte-Anne-de-Beaupré, one of the most important religious sites in Quebec. Enjoy free time for lunch before taking the stage for a performance at a Sainte-Anne-de-Beaupre (subject to availability). Stop to sample fresh homemade bread and maple butter, then visit the breathtaking Montmorency Falls, which rises even higher than Niagara Falls. This evening, celebrate your journey with a farewell dinner at a traditional Québecois Sugar Shack before returning to your hotel for the night in Quebec City. (B,D)
Day 6, Thursday June 24: Departure
Following breakfast, board your coach for your return drive to the USA or possible flight (B)
