Itinerary
The itinerary is the starting point to your tour, but it’s not set in stone. Your group leader may make changes leading up to departure.
Day 1, Saturday July 10: Overnight Flight
Departure from the United States.
Day 2, Sunday July 11: Stockholm
Welcome to Sweden! On arrival in Stockholm, meet your Encore Tour Manager and transfer downtown. Take a brief orientation tour with your tour manager, followed by welcome dinner (D)
Day 3, Monday July 12: Stockholm
In the morning city tour Stockholm. During the tour you will explore the old town with its charming narrow streets, pass the Royal Palace and the famous Great Church, discover Old Town Market Square, see the house that was once home to two members of ABBA. This afternoon, rehearse and perform your debut concert of the tour which will take place at a local venue, such as Hedvig Eleonor church or similar. Enjoy dinner together tonight. (B,D)
Day 4, Tuesday July 13: Gothenburg
This morning, have time to explore Stockholm at your own pace. This afternoon, transfer to the port for your overnight ferry to Tallinn. Dinner is served on board as you begin your scenic journey across the Baltic Sea, where you’ll spend the night comfortably. Option to fly is available at a supplement cost(B,D)
Day 5, Wednesday July 14: Gothenburg
This morning, enjoy breakfast on board before you arrive in the charming city of Tallinn. Enjoy a guided walking tour of the Old Town, seeing highlights such as the upper Toompea Fortress and Parliament, Orthodox and Lutheran cathedrals, as well as the Town Hall square, Merchant Guild Houses. Check into your hotel and spend the rest of the afternoon exploring at your own pace before having dinner together. (B,D)
Day 6, Thursday July 15: Malmo
Day 7, Friday July 16: Malmo
After breakfast, depart Tallinn and travel toward Riga. En route, stop in Gauja National Park to explore the Hill of Dainu, Gutmana Cave, the Sigulda castle ruins, and the 13th-century Turaida Castle, built under the orders of a Teutonic knight and Riga’s bishop. A group lunch is included instead of dinner today. Check in to your hotel and enjoy time for dinner on your own this evening. (B,L)
Day 8, Saturday July 17: Copenhagen
Discover Riga during a guided sightseeing tour this morning, starting in the Old Town, encircled by a picturesque water channel. See the city’s highlights, including the famous Dome Cathedral, St. John’s and St. Peter’s Churches, the Freedom Monument, the National Opera, Parliament, Riga Castle, and the charming, spacious squares. Don’t miss the remarkable Art Nouveau district, renowned for its stunning architecture. Lunch is on your own, followed by an afternoon rehearsal and concert in Riga at a local venue such as St. Peter’s church or similar. Enjoy dinner together tonight. (B,D)
Day 9, Sunday July 18: Copenhagen
After breakfast, depart Riga for Vilnius, stopping en route at Rundale Palace, a Baroque masterpiece designed by Italian architect F.B. Rastrelli, famed for his work on St. Petersburg’s Hermitage Palace. Enjoy a group lunch before continuing to the Hill of Crosses, a remarkable site featuring over 50,000 crosses crafted from a variety of materials. Arrive in Vilnius and check in to your hotel. Dinner is on your own. (B,L)
Day 10, Monday July 19: Departure
Transfer to the airport for return flight to the United States.
