Itinerary

The itinerary is the starting point to your tour, but it’s not set in stone. Your group leader may make changes leading up to departure.

Day 1, Sunday September 5: Overnight Flight

Departure from the United States.

Day 2, Monday September 6: Stockholm

Welcome to Scandinavia. On arrival in Stockholm, meet your tour manager and transfer downtown. Take a brief orientation tour with your tour manager, followed by welcome dinner (D)

Day 3, Tuesday September 7: Stockholm

This morning after breakfast take a guided tour of Stockholm with a licensed guide, taking in the Royal Palace, the Great Church, and the stunning Old Town. This afternoon come together for your first hymn-singing opportunity in one of Stockholm's beautiful Lutheran churches. Dinner tonight is independent (B)

Day 4, Wednesday September 8: Stockholm

After breakfast this morning visit to the Vasa Ship Museum to see the only preserved seventeenth-century ship in the world, a unique art treasure. Continuation to visit the Royal Palace, the official residence of His Majesty the King of Sweden, with over 600 rooms. This afternoon visit a local Lutheran church for a Lutheran Hymn singing. (B)

Day 5, Thursday September 9: Gothenburg

After breakfast check out and journey south and west from Stockholm, stopping off first in the city Jonkoping for your first hymn-sing of the day. Continue to Sweden's second city Gothenburg and check into your next hotel before an independent dinner (B)

Day 6, Friday September 10: Gothenburg

This morning spend some time exploring this pretty city, including the Gota Square with the Concert Hall, Art Museum and City Theater. Take a visit to the 'Fish Church', the famous fish market. Later you'll have the opportunity for another hymn-sing in a church such as St John's in the center of the city. Dinner tonight is independent (B)

Day 7, Saturday September 11: Oslo

Check out and depart North and West to Norway! On arrival in the capital Oslo take a city tour visiting the Vigeland Sculpture Park, Holmenkollen Ski jump, and the Viking Ship museum. (B)

Day 8, Sunday September 12: Oslo

After breakfast visit the Munch museum, dedicated to the life and works of Norwegian Artist Edvard Munch, which offers an immersive experience that combines art, architecture and cultural events. In the afternoon visit to the local Lutheran church for Lutheran Hymn singing. Later this evening an Oslo fjord boat trip offers a serene and scenic perspective on the capital (B)

Day 9, Monday September 13: Oslo

After breakfast this morning you could visit the Akershus Fortress, a historic castle, built in late 1290s to protect and represent the capital, and one of the most visited Norway’s cultural heritage sites. After your final hymn singing today, enjoy a farewell dinner in the city (B,D)

Day 10, Tuesday September 14: Departure

Transfer to the airport for return flight to the United States.
