Itinerary

The itinerary is the starting point to your tour, but it’s not set in stone. Your group leader may make changes leading up to departure.

Day 1, Sunday September 5: Overnight Flight

Departure from the United States.

Day 2, Monday September 6: Stockholm

Welcome to Scandinavia. On arrival in Stockholm, meet your tour manager and transfer downtown. Take a brief orientation tour with your tour manager, followed by welcome dinner (D)

Day 3, Tuesday September 7: Stockholm

This morning after breakfast take a guided tour of Stockholm with a licensed guide, taking in the Royal Palace, the Great Church, and the stunning Old Town. This afternoon come together for your first hymn-singing opportunity in one of Stockholm's beautiful Lutheran churches. Dinner tonight is independent (B)

Day 4, Wednesday September 8: Gothenburg

After breakfast check out and journey south and west from Stockholm, stopping off first in the city Jonkoping for your first hymn-sing of the day. Continue to Sweden's second city Gothenburg and check into your next hotel before an independent dinner (B)

Day 5, Thursday September 9: Gothenburg

This morning spend some time exploring this pretty city, including the Gota Square with the Concert Hall, Art Museum and City Theater. Take a visit to the 'Fish Church', the famous fish market. Later you'll have the opportunity for another hymn-sing in a church such as St John's in the center of the city. Dinner tonight is independent (B)

Day 6, Friday September 10: Malmo

After breakfast depart for the southern city of Malmo, where you'll have the opportunity for hymn singing in a church such as St Peters. Later spend time exploring the city, including the Malmohus castle, before an independent dinner (B)

Day 7, Saturday September 11: Malmo

After breakfast take a trip to nearby Lund, known for its academic heritage and vibrant cultural life. Visit the cathedral (where a hymn-sing may be possible), the university botanical gardens, and the market hall, before returning to Malmo for an independent dinner (B)

Day 8, Sunday September 12: Copenhagen

After breakfast, check out and journey across the famous Storebaelt Bridge to Copenhagen. Take a guided sightseeing tour of Copenhagen including the famous Little Mermaid statue, Christiansborg palace, the Royal Danish Opera, and the famous Nyhavn / Stroget down town streets. Later visit one of the city's wonderful churches for a hymn-singing opportunity (B)

Day 9, Monday September 13: Copenhagen

Today take a morning visit to Frederiksborg to tour the Hillerod castle, the largest Renaissance castle in Scandinavia. This afternoon is free in Copenhagen, before coming together for a farewell dinner at a restaurant in the city (B,D)

Day 10, Tuesday September 14: Departure

Transfer to the airport for return flight to the United States.
