Long Beach Polytechnic High School Italy 2026

The itinerary is the starting point to your tour, but it’s not set in stone. Your group leader may make changes leading up to departure.

Day 1, Sunday June 28: Overnight Flight

Depart Los Angeles today on your overnight flight to Italy!

Day 2, Monday June 29: Venice

Arrive in Venice, the Queen of The Adriatic. Consisting of an archipelago carved by nearly 150 canals into 118 different islands, the incomparable city of Venice contains a wealth of sights. Upon arrival, check in at your hotel. Then, board the vaporetto water bus and transfer to St. Mark's Square where you can see the Basilica of St. Mark. Enjoy a welcome dinner together at a local restaurant before having some free time to expore Venice at night. Return to the hotel this evening. (D)

Day 3, Tuesday June 30: Venice

After breakfast at your hotel, transfer to the city center. This morning, you'll have a reserved entrance to St Mark's bell tower. The rest of the day is free to enjoy Venice at your leisure. Meet later this evening for dinner together in a local restaurant. (B,D)

Day 4, Wednesday July 1: Florence

After breakfast at your hotel, depart for Florence, birthplace of the Renaissance. Upon arrival, meet a local guide for a walking tour of Florence concluding with a visit to the famous Accademia museum to see Michelangelo's masterpiece, The David. Enjoy dinner together at a local restaurant this evening. (B,D)

Day 5, Thursday July 2: Florence

After breakfast this morning, your tour manager will take you on a walking tour in the city center before having the rest of the morning and afternoon free to explore at your own pace. This evening, you'll come together to participate in Mass at Basilica di Santa Maria Novella at 6:00pm. After the Liturgy, dine together in a local restuarant. (B,D)

Day 6, Friday July 3: Rome

Check out of your hotel and drive south to the Eternal City, Rome! Check in at your hotel before having a guided tour of the colosseum and Roman Forum. Head to a local restaurant for a delicious Roman style dinner together. (B,D)

Day 7, Saturday July 4: Rome

This morning transfer to the Vatican Museums for a timed entrance and guided tour of the vast collection of art contained in this world-class museum. Marvel at the frescos of Michelangelo in the Sistine Chapel and finish the tour with a visit of St. Peter's Basilica. This afternoon's highlight is your participation in Mass at the Basilica of St. Peter at 12:00pm. Enjoy some free time this afternoon before having dinner together in a local restaurant. (B,D)

Day 8, Sunday July 5: Rome

Enjoy a free day to do some last-minute shopping, sightseeing and exploring. Tonight, take part in a fun hands-on pizza making lesson at a local restaurant. At the end of the lesson enjoy the delicious pizze you hand-crafted together. (B,D)

Day 9, Monday July 6: Departure

After breakfast at the hotel and check out, transfer to the airport for your return flight to the United States. (B)
