Itinerary

The itinerary is the starting point to your tour, but it’s not set in stone. Your group leader may make changes leading up to departure.

Day 1, Friday April 17: Overnight Flight

Departure from the United States.

Day 2, Saturday April 18: Athens

Welcome to Greece! Upon arrival at the airport, meet your Tour Manager and begin to explore this enchanting, ancient city. Perhaps stop for a plate of honey-soaked, cinnamonspiced loukoumades while you stroll through the winding streets of this cradle of civilization. Enjoy dinner together tonight. (D)

Day 3, Sunday April 19: Athens

Sightseeing with a local guide features the spectacular Acropolis and the Parthenon, which dominates the city and stands as a powerful and impressive memorial to the remarkable civilization that built it. You will also enjoy a visit to the exciting new Acropolis Museum. Enjoy lunch and time for exploration at your own pace this afternoon. Later in the afternoon, perform your first concert at a local venue! Afterwards, walk to a nearby restaurant where you will have dinner together (B,D)

Day 4, Monday April 20: Patras

This morning, venture to Delphi, where ancient Greeks asked for counsel from its fabled oracle. In the afternoon arrive in colorful Patras and experience a vibrant slice of Greek life as you relax in this beachside town. (B,D)

Day 5, Tuesday April 21: No Flights

This morning, have time to explore Partras with your Tour Manager. This afternoon, continue to Nafplion, where you will check into your hotel and have dinner together. (B,D)

Day 6, Wednesday April 22: No Flights

This morning after breakfast drive to Mycenae; to see mainland Europe's oldest city, including the Lion Gate, Royal Tombs and Acropolis. Then journey to the great Theater of Epidaurusand visualize 14,000 ancient spectators who sat here all day long, held spellbound by tragedies of Sophocles or comedies of Aristophanes. An impromptu performance may be possible at the ancient theater of Epidaurus! Return this afternoon to Nafplion where you will rehearse and perform at the Vouleftikon! Enjoy dinner together tonight. (B,D)

Day 7, Thursday April 23: Athens

This morning, travel to Corinth for a photo stop at the jaw-dropping Corinth Canal that links the Gulf of Corinth and the Aegean Sea. Then continue to Athens where you will check into your hotel. This afternoon, perform an exchange concert at Malliaras Private Lyceum in Athens. Enjoy dinner together tonight (B,D)

Day 8, Friday April 24: Athens

This morning visit Cape Sounion, noted for its Temple of Poseidon, one of the major monuments of the Golden Age of Athens. Return to Athens this afternoon where you'll have time to explore at your own pace. Tonight, celebrate your successful concert tour of Greece with a special farewell dinner (B,D)

Day 9, Saturday April 25: Departure

Transfer to the airport for return flight to the United States. (B)
