The itinerary is the starting point to your tour, but it’s not set in stone. Your group leader may make changes leading up to departure.

Day 1, Friday March 13: Overnight Flight

Departure from your home airport for the flight to Washington. On the way downtown, stop for a photo opportunity at the south lawn of the White House. This evening will end with an illuminated monuments tour of the Jefferson Memorial, Franklin Delano Roosevelt Memorial, and the Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial (D)

Day 2, Saturday March 14: Washington DC

After breakfast, begin your day with a visit to the remarkable Basilica of the National Shrine where you will have a guided visit and recital performance opportunity (choirs only). Then transfer to the Armed Forces Retirement Home where you will have an afternoon performance for the military residents (pending approval). Then take a guided tour of the U.S. Capitol. Please note: Encore will make every effort to secure your group a tour at the U.S. Capitol; if this is not possible, groups will visit the Supreme Court or Library of Congress instead. Enjoy dinner together (B,D)

Day 3, Sunday March 15: Washington DC

Enjoy breakfast at your hotel, then have the morning to explore the Smithsonian Museum of your choice. Perhaps learn about millions of years of evolution with a visit to the National Museum of Natural History. Or visit the National Museum of African American History and Culture, the only national museum devoted exclusively to the documentation of African American life, history, music, and culture. Tonight perform your final concert, which could be in a local church, school or music institution (B,D)

Day 4, Monday March 16: Departure

Transfer to the airport for return flight to your home airport (B)
