Itinerary

The itinerary is the starting point to your tour, but it’s not set in stone. Your group leader may make changes leading up to departure.

Day 1, Monday June 1: Overnight Flight

Depart from the USA.

Day 2, Tuesday June 2: Glasgow

Arrive in Glasgo and meet your tour manager, diving straight into an orientation tour of this great port city set on the river Clyde. The city is famed for its beautiful Victorian and art nouveau architecture, its grand monuments, and legacy from the 19th Century Industrial Revolution. Make a stop to visit the spectacular St Mungo Cathedral, whose origins date back to the 6th century. Enjoy a welcome dinner tonight (D)

Day 3, Wednesday June 3: Glasgow

This morning after breakfast, head north for the 'bonnie banks' of Loch Lomond. At Tarbet, exchange coach for boat and enjoy a cruise around the famous Loch while singing some classic Scottish tunes and enjoying hot drinks and traditional shortbread. At the south end of the Loch is Balloch, where you could perform your first concert in the parish church here before dinner and a later return to Glasgow (B,D)

Day 4, Thursday June 4: Fort William

After breakfast depart for the 'Far North', traveling to the Highlands via the famed Glencoe and some of the most scenic roads in all of the UK. Your base for tonight is the town of Fort William on the shores of Loch Linnhe, nestled at the foot of the highest mountain in the nation, Ben Nevis. The rest of the day is free to explore this scenic town and surrounding area, before an independent dinner tonight (B)

Day 5, Friday June 5: Aviemore

This morning continue your journey into the heart of the Highlands, stopping first at the famed Loch Ness, one of the deepest lakes in the UK. You may just have the opportunity to see a legendary creature today, as you head west via along the shores of the loch, best known for alleged sightings of "Nessie," the Loch Ness Monster. After a brief independent lunch stop, this afternoon you'll visit the Culloden Battlefield which was famously the site of the bloody last battle of Jacobite Rising. Dinner will be independent tonight. (B)

Day 6, Saturday June 6: Aviemore

Today take a scenic drive through the Grampian Mountains: A visit to an artisan whisky distillery is included today with a group tour and tasting session. Return to Aviemore in time for an independent dinner (B)

Day 7, Sunday June 7: Edinburgh

Leaving Inverness, head south toward Edinburgh through the Cairngorms National Park with a visit of the pretty village of Pitlochry before paying a visit to the historic Stirling Castle, where you'll perform your next concert of the tour in the castle chapel itself. Continue to the historic city of Edinburgh, your final stop of the tour, in time for an independent dinner (B)

Day 8, Monday June 8: Edinburgh

This morning after breakfast enjoy a guided walking tour of Edinburgh’s Old Town with your Edinburgh guide. This will include The Royal Mile, lined with 17th century merchants’ houses, and entrance to Edinburgh Castle. The castle houses the Scottish crown jewels, the Stone of Destiny and affords stunning views out over the Firth of Forth. Today sees your final concert in St Giles Church Edinburgh as part of their summer concert series, before you round off your tour with a farewell dinner featuring traditional Scottish pipers and dancing! (B,D)
