Itinerary
The itinerary is the starting point to your tour, but it’s not set in stone. Your group leader may make changes leading up to departure.
Day 1, Sunday January 11: Overnight Flight
Departure from the United States.
Day 2, Monday January 12: London
Welcome to London! Enjoy four nights at a comfortable, moderate 3- to 4-star hotel with daily English breakfast included. To help you explore the city with ease, you'll receive an Oyster Card (with activation fee included) valid for unlimited travel within Zones 1–2 on London’s buses and underground for four days. Your time in London begins with a warm welcome dinner at a charming local gastro pub, featuring a delicious three-course dinner. (D)
Day 3, Tuesday January 13: London
Today is yours to explore London at your own pace. With your Oyster Card in hand, you can easily navigate the city’s excellent public transportation system and visit some of its most iconic sights. Stroll along the River Thames, take in the views from the London Eye, or explore historic landmarks such as the Tower of London, Westminster Abbey, and Buckingham Palace. Art and history lovers may wish to visit the British Museum or the National Gallery, while others might enjoy shopping at Covent Garden or along Oxford Street. Music enthusiasts may want to visit some of London’s legendary recording studios, including Trident Studios, where Queen, David Bowie, and Elton John recorded, or Air Studios, founded by Beatles producer George Martin. However you choose to spend your day, London offers endless opportunities for discovery and inspiration. Enjoy a group dinner together tonight at a local restaurant. (B,D)
Day 4, Wednesday January 14: London
Today board a private coach and transfer to the iconic Abbey Road Studios, one of the most legendary recording venues in the world (recording arrangements made by your group leader). Here you will have two full days to both observe and participate in a live recording session. Gain behind-the-scenes insight into the professional recording process, interact with musicians and sound engineers, and experience firsthand the creative energy that has made Abbey Road a historic landmark in the music industry. Afterwards, your private coach will transfer you back to the hotel. This evening is yours to explore and have dinner on your own. (B)
Day 5, Thursday January 15: London
Today is your second full day dedicated to the music recording at Abbey Road Studios. You’ll once again have the rare opportunity to both observe and actively participate in a live recording session.
