Itinerary

The itinerary is the starting point to your tour, but it’s not set in stone. Your group leader may make changes leading up to departure.

Day 1, Friday March 20: Overnight Flight

Departure from the United States.

Day 2, Saturday March 21: Galway

Welcome to Dublin! Upon arrival, you will be greeted by your Tour Manager and ushered onto your luxury motor coach, designed to offer both comfort and convenience for your journey. Your adventure begins with a visit to Clonmacnoise, a historically rich site founded in the mid-6th century by St. Ciarán on the eastern bank of the River Shannon. Here, you'll explore the ruins of an ancient cathedral, visit seven churches dating from the 10th to the 13th century, and marvel at two well-preserved round towers and three intricately carved high crosses. The site is also home to the most extensive collection of Early Christian grave slabs in Western Europe, with original high crosses and selected grave slabs displayed in the Visitor Center. After immersing yourself in this remarkable historical site, you will travel to Galway and check into your hotel. The day concludes with a delightful dinner with your fellow traveler (D)

Day 3, Sunday March 22: Galway

This morning, enjoy a very special exchange opportunity with local students in Claregalway at a local school, for a traditional Irish Céilí. You'll meet local students and learn traditional Irish dancing! Then depart on a tour of the circuit of Connemara. This landscape is a mixture of rivers, lakes, woodlands, rich meadowlands, rugged hills, dramatic mountains and as you near the coast you’ll stumble across a stunning unpolluted coastline of sandy beaches and blue waters. A packed lunch is included for you today. Continue on to Glengowla, a working sheep farm where the Geoghegan family have farmed for generations. The sheepdogs at Glengowla are an integral part of the farming family. Enjoy the atmosphere, scenery and pet the resident Connemara Ponies. Continue to a visit Kylemore Abby and the Victorian Walled Garden. This afternoon, perform your first lunchtime recital performance at the Monastic Church in Kylemore Abbey. Rehearsa later today for your first performance on tour!. (B,D)

Day 4, Monday March 23: Cork

After breakfast you will journey to the Cliffs of Moher.One of Ireland’s most cherished experiences awaits you at the Cliffs of Moher. Rising majestically over the rugged west Clare coast, these iconic cliffs stand as a testament to nature’s grandeur at Europe’s most westerly point. As you stroll along the safe, paved pathways, you’ll be treated to breathtaking views of the Atlantic Ocean and the distant Aran Islands. The sheer scale and dramatic beauty of the cliffs have inspired countless artists, musicians, and poets over the centuries. At the same time, their unique geological features continue to captivate scientists and geologists, drawn to the striking landscape that showcases the raw power of nature. Then, Embark on a delightful 20-minute journey with the Shannon Ferry, which will transport you and your vehicle across the stunning Shannon Estuary, seamlessly connecting the iconic tourist destinations of Clare, known as the Banner County, with the picturesque Kingdom of Kerry. This charming ferry ride offers a welcome respite from your travels, allowing you to relax and enjoy the serene waters of the estuary. This brief yet memorable crossing is a perfect opportunity to unwind and take in the natural beauty of Ireland’s waterways. (B,D)

Day 5, Tuesday March 24: Cork

Prepare for a full day of exploration with a comprehensive tour of the Ring of Kerry, one of Ireland’s most scenic routes. Your journey begins in Killorglin and winds through picturesque Glenbeigh, Cahersiveen, and Waterville. As you ascend the Coomakesta Pass, you'll be rewarded with breathtaking views over Derrynane, the ancestral home of Daniel O'Connell, famously known as “The Liberator.” Continue your scenic drive through Caherdaniel, and then travel on through the charming village of Sneem. The route takes you past the dramatic Moll’s Gap and the renowned Ladies View, offering panoramic vistas of the surrounding landscape. Finally, traverse the stunning Killarney National Park, taking in the serene beauty of the Lakes of Killarney. Dinner will be on your own tonight. (B)

Day 6, Wednesday March 25: Dublin

On route to Dublin your will visit the Blarney Castle and the Rock of Cashel.Blarney Castle, a formidable defensive fortress built in 1446, stands as a testament to Ireland's rich history. The castle you see today is actually the keep of a much larger medieval stronghold. As part of your visit, you'll have the opportunity to kiss the renowned Blarney Stone, perched high on the castle’s battlements. According to tradition, this act will bestow upon you the gift of eloquence, affectionately known by locals as "the gift of the gab."The Rock of Cashel has a storied past, serving as the seat of kings and medieval bishops for nearly 900 years, flourishing until the early 17th century. Notably, Brian Ború, a significant figure in Irish history, was crowned King of Munster at Blarney in 977 before rising to become High King of Ireland in 1002. (B,D)

Day 7, Thursday March 26: Dublin

Today will be a full day in Dublin with panoramic sightseeing tour including O'Connell Street, Phoenix Park, and Leinster House. You will have an opportunity to vist the Irish Emigration Museum. The museum was founded on the belief that emigration is one of the most interesting ways to fully understand a country. Prepare for your lunchtime concert with a rehearsal and guided visit at Christ Church Cathedral. Rehearsal will be from 11:15 - 11:45, followed by your concert at 1:30 pm. After your performance, travel back to Viking and Medieval times at Dublinia, in the heart of the old city at Christchurch. Walk where Vikings walked before, step into Medieval Dublin at our Viking museum Dublin, find out about Dublin’s rich past and even climb an original Medieval tower. Tonight enjoy dinner in a local restaurant in Dublin. (B,D)

Day 8, Friday March 27: Dublin

On your final day in Dublin, immerse yourself in the vibrant culture of Ireland with a workshop dedicated to Irish theater, dancing, and song. This engaging session will provide you with a deeper appreciation of Ireland’s rich performing arts heritage. After the workshop, you will have some free time to explore Dublin at your leisure, allowing you to soak in the city's atmosphere and perhaps do a bit of last-minute shopping or sightseeing. In the evening, prepare for an unforgettable experience with dinner and a performance at The Merry Ploughboy, widely acclaimed as the premier traditional music show in Dublin. This highly entertaining event features a captivating performance of live traditional Irish music, song, and dancing. Enjoy the very best of fresh Irish cuisine with a choice menu that highlights local flavors and culinary traditions. (B,D)

Day 9, Saturday March 28: Departure

Transfer to the Airport this morning for your return flight to the USA.
