Seattle Children's Chorus - United Kingdom

July 4 - 12, 2026

Itinerary

The itinerary is the starting point to your tour, but it’s not set in stone. Your group leader may make changes leading up to departure.

Day 1, Saturday July 4: Overnight Flight

Departure from the United States.

Day 2, Sunday July 5: Edinburgh

Welcome to Scotland! On arrival meet your Tour Manager and dive straight into the historic city of Edinburgh with a guided tour and a visit to the castle which towers over the city, and houses the ancient Scottish Crown Jewels. Tonight enjoy a welcome dinner together (D)

Day 3, Monday July 6: Edinburgh

After a traditional Scottish breakfast, your first stop today is the imposing Stirling Castle, once the Royal seat of Scotland's rulers, where you'll also perform your first concert. Later today enjoy a workshop with local Scottish bag pipers – who will demonstrate their musical skills and ask you to join in! Tonight after dinner you'll experience that very Scottish form of entertainment: a ceilidh with traditional Scottish music and dancing! (B,D)

Day 4, Tuesday July 7: Llangollen

Today you begin your journey south towards Wales. Break up the 300 mile journey with a trip to the stunning English Lake District. Take a trip on a historic lake steamer on Ullswater, famous as the setting for Swallows and Amazons. Then journey to Llangollen to check into the Festival hotel for the next leg of the tour, where dinner is provided as part of the festival arrangements (B,D)

Day 5, Wednesday July 8: Llangollen

Today Coro Vivo and Arioso will participate in the Senior Childrens Choir Category, and Camerata in the Children's Open Choir Category, at the Llangollen International Eisteddfod music festival (*subject to successful applications), as well as taking in the other performances happening in the Festival today. Enjoy dinner together tonight at your hotel. (B,D)

Day 6, Thursday July 9: Llangollen

Today Arioso and Coro Vivo compete in the Children's Folk Song Category at the Llangollen Eisteddfod (*subject to successful appllication) You'll also have the opportunity to ride on the historically preserved Llangollen Railway: if you're lucky your train may be hauled by a steam engine from the early 1900s! Enjoy dinner together tonight at your hotel. (B,D)

Day 7, Friday July 10: Liverpool

Check out of your Welsh hotel and head over the border into the English Marches region. Our first stop today is a step back in time at the Blists Hill Victorian museum in Telford: you'll be immersed in the sights, sounds and smells of Victorian life and get a glimpse of a new world shaped by industry, including visiting Victorian shops and cottages, meeting craftspeople demonstrating their trades and tasting authentic food in this entire recreated town. Continue to the City of Liverpool in time for dinner (B,D)

Day 8, Saturday July 11: Liverpool

After breakfast take a tour of the city of Liverpool including the Albert Dock and famous Liver Building, before exploring the city's more recent musical history with a visit to the Beatles Story Museum to discover how four normal 'lads from Liverpool' became the most successful band ever. Later perform your final tour concert in Chester Cathedral, before a farewell dinner together to celebrate the end of your tour (B,D)

Day 9, Sunday July 12: Departure

After breakfast transfer to the airport for return flight to the United States.
