Day 1, Sunday June 7: Overnight Flight

Departure from the United States.

Day 2, Monday June 8: Coimbra

Bem-vindo a Portugal! Meet your Encore Tour Manager and travel north to the historic city of Coimbra. Enjoy a welcome dinner together at a traditional local restaurant (B,D)

Day 3, Tuesday June 9: Coimbra

After breakfast take a guided tour of the enchanting city of Coimbra; Portugal’s medieval capital for more than a century. Visit Coimbra University which has been the country's greatest intellectual centers for the past five centuries. After an independent dinner, perform your first concert of the tour in a local church. (B)

Day 4, Wednesday June 10: Lisbon

After breakfast travel south to the capital city Lisbon, and begin to unlock the secrets of this fascinating city, once the capital of the world's greatest maritime empire. Enjoy a dinner together at a traditional local restaurant (B, D)

Day 5, Thursday June 11: Lisbon

In the morning a sightseeing tour with a local expert shows you the Monument of the Discoveries, Alfáma district, Rossio Square and St. George's Castle before you enjoy a visit inside Jerónimos Monastery. After an independent dinner, you have the option to attend a private workshop exploring the traditional folk music style of Fado (supplement applies) (B)

Day 6, Friday June 12: Lisbon

Today is free for your own optional sightseeing. You could take the short train journey to the hilltop town of Sintra, or explore the winding hills and alleys of the historic Barrio Alto district. After an early independent dinner come together again to perform your second concert performance of the tour in a local church. (B)

Day 7, Saturday June 13: Faro

After breakfast, check out and transfer to the rail station to board your InterCity train south towards Faro. The journey takes around 3 hours, crossing the famous 25.April Bridge: there's no better way to view the capital and the Portuguese scenery en route south! On arrival in Faro check into your hotel and explore the city with your tour manager before an independent dinner (B)

Day 8, Sunday June 14: Faro

This morning after breakfast visit the beautiful coastal city of Albufeira, a former fishing village that has become a bustling destination, with gorgeous sandy beaches. The marina is surrounded by candy-colored apartments, with a lovely waterfront promenade. Enjoy time in Albufeira for lunch and exploration then return to Faro. (B)

Day 9, Monday June 15: Faro

Visit the coastal towns of Cascais and Estoril. Cascais is a small and picturesque fishing town where you can enjoy the natural beauty and the Fort of Cascais, built to protect the city from pirate invasions. Estoril was once a small spa town conveniently placed between Lisbon and Cascais that became well known as a prime residence for several European royal exiles. At its height, its visitors knew Estoril as the "Portuguese Riviera". Later this afternoon, rehearse for tonight's final concert performance before your farewell dinner (B,D)

Day 10, Tuesday June 16: Departure

Transfer to the airport for return flight to the United States. (B)
