St. Teresa's Tour to Italy

Itinerary

The itinerary is the starting point to your tour, but it’s not set in stone. Your group leader may make changes leading up to departure.

Day 1, Wednesday May 27: Overnight Flight

Departure from the United States.

Day 2, Thursday May 28: Florence

Arrive in Rome, where you’ll meet your Tour Manager before transferring to Florence. After enjoying a delightful lunch, you'll have time to explore the city’s rich Renaissance history. Later, check into your hotel and settle in. In the evening, enjoy an arrival briefing followed by a warm welcome dinner, setting the stage for an unforgettable adventure in one of Italy’s most iconic cities. (D)

Day 3, Friday May 29: Florence

This morning, enjoy a guided city sightseeing tour of Florence, including Ghiberti's Baptistery doors, the Duomo, Santa Croce, and the entrance to the Accademia Museum to see Michelangelo's David. Have some free time for lunch and sightseeing on your own. This evening you will have dinner at a local restaurant. (B,D)

Day 4, Saturday May 30: Rome

This morning, depart Tuscany and enjoy a lovely drive to Assisi, the birthplace of Saint Francis. Arrive and have some time to explore and have lunch on your own. Tonight you'll have your first concert performance at St. Francis Basilica, pending approval After the concert, have dinner as a group before continuing on to Rome, the "Eternal City", where you'll check into your hotel. Day 5, Sunday May 31: Rome

This morning, at St. Peter's Cathedral, you will celebrate and sing Mass, making this a truly unforgettable experience. Afterward,visit the Colosseum to discover the fascinating history of this iconic Roman landmark followed by the Roman Forum! Enjoy the sights of ancient Rome this afternoon as your Tour Manager guides you on your panoramic tour of the city. Some highlights will be The Circus Maximus, The Baths of Caracalla, and the Monument of Vittorio Emanuele (Rome's "Wedding Cake monument'). Later you’ll have dinner with your family. (B,D)

Day 6, Monday June 1: Rome

After breakfast, enjoy a guided visit to the Vatican Museums, including a tour of the magnificent St. Peter's Basilica. Later, gather for a rehearsal in preparation for your second concert, which will be held at the beautiful St. Agnes Church, pending approval. Before the concert, enjoy a delicious dinner before for the evening's performance. (B,D)

Day 7, Tuesday June 2: Sorrento

Today, journey to Sorrento, with a visit en route to the fascinating excavated city of Pompeii, guided by a local expert. The city, famously buried in ash after the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in 79 AD, offers a remarkable glimpse into life nearly 2,000 years ago. After your tour, check into your hotel in Sorrento you will have a rehearsa than dinner followed by your final evening concert at the San Francesco Church.

Day 8, Wednesday June 3: Sorrento

This morning, embark on a high-speed hydrofoil ride to the breathtaking island of Capri, known as the "Island of Dreams." Take a funicular or inclined railway through subtropical gardens, leading you up to the charming town’s main square, where you'll have time to shop in artisan stores and explore the picturesque narrow lanes. The afternoon is yours to enjoy more shopping and sightseeing. Later, return to Sorrento, relax before a special farewell dinner with the shadow tour to celebrate the end of your incredible journey. (B,D)

Day 9, Thursday June 4: Departure

Transfer to the airport for return flight to the United States.
