Performance Tour to Spain

The itinerary is the starting point to your tour, but it’s not set in stone. Your group leader may make changes leading up to departure.

Day 1, Wednesday June 18: Overnight Flight

Departure from the United States.

Day 2, Thursday June 19: Granada

Welcome to Spain! Meet your tour manager and transfer to the hotel to check in and freshen up. A space is reserved in your hotel for a two hour rehearsal. Enjoy dinner together in a local restaurant. (B,D)

Day 3, Friday June 20: Granada

After breakfast in your hotel, included throughout your tour, enjoy a guided tour of the magnificent Alhambra Palace Complex, the most beautiful example of a Moorish Palace and Fort. Have lunch on your own before coming together for your first concert of the tour, an exchange concert with a local choir! (B)

Day 4, Saturday June 21: Cordoba

Check out of the hotel this morning and depart for Cordoba, a city with both Roman and Moorish roots. Upon arrival, check into the hotel before departing on a sightseeing tour, including an entrance to the Great Mosque, La Mezquita. Enjoy an authentic Moorish style dinner together at a local restaurant. (B,D)

Day 5, Sunday June 22: Cordoba

Following breakfast at your hotel, board the bus and depart for Seville, one of Spain's most prominent cities with a history that truly helped build the wealth of modern Spain from the Colonial period. Enjoy a guided walking tour of the city, including entrances to the Cathedral of Seville and Royal Alcazar. Return to Cordoba this afternoon where you'll have your second concert performsnce of the tour. Enjoy dinner on your own this evening. (B)

Day 6, Monday June 23: Madrid

This morning, depart for Madrid stopping en route for lunch. On arrival, check into your centrally located hotel. This afternoon, meet your English-speaking local guide at the hotel for a half day city sightseeing of Madrid, including admission to Prado Museum. A traditional tapas style dinner awaits this evening. (B,D)

Day 7, Tuesday June 24: Madrid

Spend today in stunning Segovia, a city with prominent Roman roots, epitomized by the impressive aqueduct that spans the city! Meet your local guide who will take you on a sightseeing tour of the city including an entrance to Royal Alcazar (castle). Enjoy a special lunch of cochinillo, traditional suckling pig. Return to Madrid later this afternoon for a free evening. (B,L)

Day 8, Wednesday June 25: Barcelona

Check out of the hotel this morning and transfer to the Catalan capital of Barcelona. Stop en route for lunch on your own in beautiful Zaragoza. Visit the impressive Cathedral del Pilar and perform a couple of pieces for your fellow visitors. Continue to Barcelona this afternoon and check in to your last hotel. Enjoy some free time this evening and have dinner on your own. (B)

Day 9, Thursday June 26: Barcelona

Morning sightseeing of Barcelona's highlights, includes a visit to Gaudi's La Sagrada Familia. This afternoon, you will perform your final concert performance in one of Barcelona's most prominent churches. Enjoy a special farewell dinner this evening to celebrate your successful performance tour of the Iberian Peninsula! (B,D)

Day 10, Friday June 27: Departure

Transfer to the airport for return flight to the United States. (B)
