Toulouse, Albi and Carcassonne

The itinerary is the starting point to your tour, but it’s not set in stone. Your group leader may make changes leading up to departure.

Day 1, Thursday February 13: Overnight Flight

Depart from the USA.

Day 2, Friday February 14: Toulouse

Bienvenue en France! Upon arrival, meet your Encore Tour Manager and transfer to Toulouse where you'll check into your hotel and enjoy a welcome dinner together. (,D)

Day 3, Saturday February 15: Toulouse

Today, before your rehearsal and performance, you will have time on your own to explore Toulouse with your Tour Manager. Later, you will prepare for your first rehearsal and concert arranged by your Choral Director, depending on scheduling. (B,D)

Day 4, Sunday February 16: Toulouse

Wake up, have breakfast and attend Mass at one of the many churches in Toulouse such as the Notre-Dame du Taur if available . Later, visit St. Sernin Cathedral and the Basilica of our Lady Daurade then this evening take a special cruise on the Canal du Midi including dinner. (B,D)

Day 5, Monday February 17: Toulouse

This morning, you will visit the Theatre Du Capitole, a renowned opera house and cultural gem. The theater provides an immersive cultural experience for visitors. A tour of the theatre reveals its historical significance, architectural splendor, and backstage workings, offering glimpses into the world of performing arts. Dinner will be together (B,D)

Day 6, Tuesday February 18: Albi

Have breakfast, board your coach, and head to Albi. En route stop for visits of two dramatic hill-top fortified medieval towns. Begin at Puycelsi, a beautiful village with well-preserved original buildings and stunning views over the surrounding countryside. Continue to Cordes-Sur-Ciel, where you will have time for lunch and to wander the maze of quaint streets. Continue to Albi and check into your hotel before dinner. (B,D)

Day 7, Wednesday February 19: Albi

Today, you will visit the Toulouse-Lautrec Museum and Saint. Cecilia's Cathedral. This evening, rehearse and prepare for your next concert. (B,D)

Day 8, Thursday February 20: Carcassonne

Our adventure continues with a stay in Carcassonne. On arrival, visit the 12th-Century Castle, stroll along the medieval ramparts, and then later tour Saint-Nazaire Basilica. (B,D)

Day 9, Friday February 21: Carcassonne

Your final day in the South of France will begin with an entrance to the Musée des Beaux-Arts de Carcassonne. After that, you will have time on your own before preparing for your final concert, and then celebrate your Southern France tour with a farewell dinner. (B,D)

Day 10, Saturday February 22: Departure

Depart for the USA. (B)
