Philadelphia Girls Choir - Italy - Companion Tour

The itinerary is the starting point to your tour, but it’s not set in stone. Your group leader may make changes leading up to departure.

Day 1, Friday June 25: Overnight Flight

Depart on your overnight flight to Italy

Day 2, Saturday June 26: Montecatini

Arrive in Florence and meet your Tour Manager and driver for the transfer to Montecatini, a beautiful Tuscan spa town. Enjoy an orientation tour with your Tour Manager, before a welcome dinner tonight (D)

Day 3, Sunday June 27: Montecatini

After breafkast depart for your day trip to the city of Pisa. Take in the famous leaning tower, and the ornate architectural marvel that is the Duomo. Continue to the ancient city of Lucca and visit the Puccini Museum housed in the composer's birthplace. Later attend the first concert by Philadelphia Girls Choir. (B)

Day 4, Monday June 28: Montecatini

This morning depart for the magnificent city of Florence. During today's guided walking tour marvel at Brunelleschi's splendid Duomo, Ghiberti's famous Baptistry Doors, Ponte Vecchio, Santa Croce; where many illustrious Italians, including Michelangelo and Galileo, are buried; and the Piazza della Signoria; the political center of the Renaissance city. Your visit to the city includes the Accademia gallery housing some of Michaelangelo's most prominent works. (B)

Day 5, Tuesday June 29: Montecatini

This morning return to Florence once more to explore the city further at your leisure: stroll to the Boboli Gardens for magnificent views of the city, browse the stores on the Ponte Vecchio, or simply wander the streets and take in the atmosphere! Later come together in the audience for PGC's next concert (B)

Day 6, Wednesday June 30: Rome

This morning check out and depart for the leisurely journey south towards Rome, stopping first for a private tour of a Tuscan wine estate, with wine and olive tasting included. Continue to Rome in time for an independent dinner tonight (B)

Day 7, Thursday July 1: Rome

After breakfast visit two of the most important Roman sites in the city, the imposing Coliseum and the Foro Romana forum. After a free afternoon, attend the third PGC concert in the city (B)

Day 8, Friday July 2: Rome

Today is free to continue exploring Rome: you could visit the Vatican and St Peter's Basilica, brave the crowds at the Trevi Fountains, or browse the up-market stores on the Via Corso. Later come together for the PGC final concert, before a farewell dinner together with the choir (B,D)

Day 9, Saturday July 3: Departure

Transfer to the airport for your return flight to the US. (B)
