Itinerary
The itinerary is the starting point to your tour, but it’s not set in stone. Your group leader may make changes leading up to departure.
Day 1, Tuesday July 6: Overnight Flight
Depart today from the San Francisco airport destination Amsterdam!
Day 2, Wednesday July 7: Amsterdam
Arrive at the Amsterdam Airport (Schiphol). Upon arrival, meet your Encore Tour Manager who will remain with you throughout the tour. Your Tour Manager will escort you to your private deluxe motor coach for your transfer to the center of Amsterdam for hotel check in and free time to relax and refresh. Your centrally located hotel will allow you to step out and explore the many colorful sites of Amsterdam. Meet your Tour Manager and fellow travelers in the hotel lobby this evening and transfer to a local restaurant for a special welcome dinner. (D)
Day 3, Thursday July 8: Amsterdam
This morning after breakfast at your hotel, enjoy a morning visit to the Rijksmuseum, the most visited museum in the Netherlands. The museum has 8,000 objects of art on display including masterpieces by Rembrandt, Frans Hals, and Johannes Vermeer. There is an optional canal lunch cruise this afternoon to enjoy this "Venice of the North" as you float along while enjoying delicious local cuisine. Price per person is $60. The rest of the afternoon and evening are free to discover more wonders of this beautiful city. Dinner this eveing is on yoiur own to allow for you to experience one of the many fabulous restaurants in Amsterdam. (B)
Day 4, Friday July 9: Amsterdam
Enjoy breakfast at your hotel and a morning visit with lecture at the Anne Frank House. Please note that final time and date of visit to the Frank House is pending final confirmation. There is an optional cooking lesson to prepare and enjoy local Dutch cuisine. Price per person is $125. After a bit more free time, meet again to enjoyt an early dinner before transferring to a local venue to hear OSYO's premiere concert! (B,D)
Day 5, Saturday July 10: Blois
After breakfast at your hotel and check out, transfer to the station to board the Eurostar (high speed train) headed for Paris. Upon arrival in the French capital, board your deluxe motorcoaches for your drive to the Loire Valley. Arrive in France's lush region of chateaux and stunning countryside, The Loire Valley, your home for the next pair of nights in the charming town of Blois. Enjoy a stroll and orientation tour with your Tour manager after hotel check in and before dinner together at a local restaurant. (B,D)
Day 6, Sunday July 11: Blois
After a delicious buffet breakfast at your hotel, discover the Loire Valley’s spectacular chateaux and landscapes. On the list is a visit to the Château de Chenonceau. Tour this beautiful Renaissance castle over the Cher River. This afternoon, there is an optional visit a local winery where you will learn about the region's famed export and sample local vintages. Cost per person is $125. Return to Blois for time to refresh at the hotel before dinner at a local restaurant and this evening's highlight, the OSYO's concert performance in Blois. (B,D)
Day 7, Monday July 12: Paris
After breakfast at your hotel, depart the Loire Valley and travel to Chartres for a visit of Cathedral, a masterpiece of French Gothic architecture. Alternatively, the group could travel to Versailles for a truly unique, select cultural and musical experience. While visting the magnificent palace of Versailles, gain select access to the Chapelle Royale, off limits to all other chateau visitors. Tour this historic site where Marie Antoinette and Louis XIV were wed. This privileged opportunity is enhanced when you meet privately with the Chateau's head of Music as he plays a short private concert on the Chapel's historic organ. Cost per person is $300. After free time for lunch on your own, continue to Paris, the City of Light and a global icon celebrated for its romantic ambiance, iconic landmarks like the Eiffel Tower and the Louvre. Enjoy dinner together at a local restaurant this evening, then enjoy the beauty of Paris by way of a scenic boat ride on the River Seine. (B,D)
Day 8, Tuesday July 13: Paris
After breakfast, take in Paris' beauty with a guided panoramic tour of the city making multiple stops for photo ops of the major landmarks such as the Eiffel Tower, the Arc de Triomphe and the Champs Elysées. Perhaps take in a section of the Jardins Luxembourg then walk through the Latin Quarter for your visit of Notre Dame de Paris, renowned for its flying buttresses, intricate stained glass, and towering spires. Enjoy free time for lunch on your own and the chance to refresh and relax at the hotel. Alternatively you may enjoy a special French culinary experience at your private cooking lesson and delicious lunch at L'Atelier des Chefs. Cost per person is $205. Meet this evening and trasnfer just outside the city to the elegant Chateau Vaux le Vicomte to attend OSYO's farewell concert. Enjoy dinner together at a local restaurant before returning to Paris for the overnight. (B,D)
Day 9, Wednesday July 14: Paris
Celebrate Bastille Day in Paris! Take in the military Parade on the Champs-Élysées, grand annual event showcasing France's armed forces. The parade symbolizes national pride and unity, attended by the French President and other international dignitaries. Reflect on a wonderful concert tour at your farewell dinner tonight. (B,D)
Day 10, Thursday July 15: Departure
After breakfast at your hotel and check out, transfer to Charles de Gaulles Airport for your return flight to the US. (B)
