Itinerary
The itinerary is the starting point to your tour, but it’s not set in stone. Your group leader may make changes leading up to departure.
Day 1, Thursday April 8: Overnight Flight
Depart on your overnight flight from Vancouver to Montreal, arriving the following morning.
Day 2, Friday April 9: Montreal
Arrive in Montreal this morning, and dive straight in to the city with a guided tour of Montreal, including the historic streets of Old Montreal, the stunning Notre-Dame Basilica, and panoramic views from the Mount Royal overlook. You'll also enjoy a visit of the Museum of Fine Arts of Montreal. Founded in 1860, it is one of the first museums in North America to be built. It now numbers over 41 000 works including paintings, sculptures, graphic arts, photographs & decorative art objects from Antiquity to today.Dinner and overnight in Montreal. (D)
Day 3, Saturday April 10: Montreal
This morning participate in the Rhythms International Festival, including an adjudicated performance. This afternoon drive to the top of Mont Royale to one of the most imposing landmarks of Montreal, L’Oratoire St. Joseph! The Oratory's dome is the third largest of its kind in the world and the largest in Canada. The rest of the day is free to visit a local shopping mall or the downtown stores. Dinner tonight is in a local restaurant (B,D)
Day 4, Sunday April 11: Quebec
After breakfast check out and depart for Quebec City, arriving in time for an indepdendent lunch. This afternoon take a tour on the Quebec Ferry Boat, with unique views of the Chateau Frontenac and the city's fortifications. Back on shore, take the funiculaire glass elevator to the Dufferin Terrace for breathtaking panoramic views and perfect photo opportunities. Dinner tonight is in your hotel or a local restaurant (B D)
Day 5, Monday April 12: Quebec
Take a guided sightseeing tour of Greater Quebec to include the magnificent Plains of Abraham traditionally known for its historic battle scenes, the impenetrable Citadel and the prevailing Martello towers (picture taking areas), Parliament Hill (National Historic Site), La Place d’Armes (The core of Old Quebec), the Latin Quarters (A district unscathed by time, reflecting Quebec’s European inheritance), a walking tour through the narrow and cobbled roads of Place Royale (Birthplace of Quebec) and much more. This afternoon visit the Citadelle of Québec, a functioning military installation for the Canadian Forces, as well as the official residence of both the monarch of Canada and the Governor General of Canada. The Citadelle is known as the largest British fortress in North America. After dinner, the jazz band will perform in a local venue (B,D)
Day 6, Tuesday April 13: Quebec
After breakfast board your motor coach for a scenic tour of the Beaupré Coast, known for its sweeping panoramic views and unique cultural experiences. Begin with a visit to the Albert Gilles Copper Museum to admire hundreds of handcrafted copper statues, paintings, jewelry, and more, followed by the Christorama Museum, featuring 50 intricate silver tablets recounting the life of Christ. Enroute visit the famous Marie's Bread Oven to taste delicious bread made the same way for centuries. Conclude your adventure with a stop at Montmorency Falls—100 feet higher than Niagara Falls—an ideal spot for memorable photos. Return to the city in time for your final performance in a local venue (B,D)
Day 7, Wednesday April 14: Quebec
After breakfast check out of your hotel, and depart for a local church, where you'll sing at the service and give a short recital afterwards (pending approval). Continue on your return to Montreal after lunch, from where you'll fly home to Vancouver (B)
