Itinerary

The itinerary is the starting point to your tour, but it’s not set in stone. Your group leader may make changes leading up to departure.

Day 1, Monday February 15: Overnight Flight

Departure from the United States.

Day 2, Tuesday February 16: Salzburg

Your Tour Manager will meet you upon arrival in Europe this morning and transfer you to the beautiful city of Salzburg, Austria. Located in the Salzach River Valley, Salzburg is one of Europe’s most picturesque cities and the birthplace of Mozart. Enjoy a guided sightseeing tour through the historic Old Town, including Mozartplatz, Salzburg Cathedral, Pegasus Fountain, Mirabell Gardens, and the famous Getreidegasse, where you will visit Mozart’s Birthplace Museum. Take the funicular to Hohensalzburg Fortress for breathtaking views over the city and surrounding Alps. Dinner together this evening. (D)

Day 3, Wednesday February 17: Prague

Have an early breakfast and then participate in an orchestra workshop with a clinician at Max Schlereth Hall, located at the prestigious University Mozarteum Salzburg (pending approval).Jjourney north towards the Czech Republic. En route, visit the beautiful medieval town of Cesky Krumlov. The city nestles on a bend in the Vltava river, itself an inspiration for one of the nation's greatest composers, Smetana. Continue to Prague where you'll check into your next hotel! (B)

Day 4, Thursday February 18: Prague

Prague is one of Europe’s most beautiful cities as you’ll see during a guided sightseeing tour. A local expert will show us the quaint Malá Strana (Czech for “Lesser Quarter,” named for its location at the foot of Prague’s ancient castle) and the graceful Charles Bridge, built during the 14th century. Spend the afternoon in rehearsal as preparation for tonight’s concert performance at a local venue, such as SS Simon and Juda Church or similar. Celebrate your tour with a dinner cruise on the Vltava River this evening. (B,D)

Day 5, Friday February 19: Vienna

Wake up early today and travel to Austria’s elegant capital, Vienna. Upon arrival, enjoy a guided sightseeing tour featuring the grand Ringstrasse, the world-famous Vienna State Opera, the imperial Hofburg Palace, and magnificent St. Stephen’s Cathedral. Dinner together this evening, followed by a performance at either the Vienna State Opera House or the Musikverein. (B,D)

Day 6, Saturday February 20: Vienna

On your final day in Vienna, enjoy a dress rehearsal at the renowned MuTh Concert Hall, home of the Vienna Boys’ Choir. Later, take the stage for the final concert of your Austrian–Czech tour—an unforgettable culmination of your musical journey. This evening, celebrate your accomplishments with a festive farewell Heurigen dinner and reflect together on your remarkable experience. (B, D)

Day 7, Sunday February 21: Departure

Transfer to the airport for return flight to the United States. (B)
