Itinerary
The itinerary is the starting point to your tour, but it’s not set in stone. Your group leader may make changes leading up to departure.
Day 1, Wednesday May 12: Overnight Flight
Depart Detroit on your overnight flight to Munich.
Day 2, Thursday May 13: Salzburg
Arrive at the Munich airport and meet your Encore Tour Manager. Transfer to the City of Mozart, Salzburg where your Tour Manager will take you on an introductory walking tour to aquaint yourself with this Alpine beauty. There is plenty of free time to relax and refresh before this evening's very special welcome dinner in a private dining room of the Hohensalzburg Fortress complete with delicious Austrian cuisine, local wines, and a small chamber ensemble to perform just for your group's special culinary welcome to Salzburg. Day 3, Friday May 14: Salzburg
After breakfast at your hotel, meet a local guide for a tour of this musically rich city that highlights the life and prolific works of W.A. Mozart. Including in your walking tour with a local guide are entrances to the Mozart birthplace and the Mozart apartments. Exclusive to your group will be a special visit to view the origiginal manuscripts and signatures of Mozart! The evening is free for dinner on your own in one of the city's restaurants. While in Salzburg, your group will have premium seating at a performance at the Mozarteum or other historic performance venue (2027 schedules pending). (B)
Day 4, Saturday May 15: Salzburg
After breakfast at your hotel and a morning of leisure, meet another local Salzburg guide for a special private guided tour of the Salzburg Cathedral. Your special tour ends with a private organ concert performed for you by the Cathedral's head of music. The rest of afternoon and evening are free to enjoy more sites on your own and dinner at a local eatery. Please note that pending performance schedules, your included performance may be scheduled for this evening. (B)
Day 5, Sunday May 16: Vienna
This morning after breakfast and hotel check-out, travel by private motorcoach to the elegant emperial city of Vienna. After hotel check-in and time to freshen up, your Tour Manager will take you on an introductory walking tour of the elegant Ringstrasse, home to museums and the Vienna State Opera. Before a special Viennese dinner, enjoy a private tour of St. Stephen's Cathedral that ends with special access to the rooftop of the Cathedral for a pre-dinner cocktail asa you see Vienna from a bird's eye view! Finish this perfect evening with a delicious dinner at a local restaurant. (B,D)
Day 6, Monday May 17: Vienna
After breakfast at your hotel, meet a local guide for a tour of this elegant city that highlights the musically rich history of Vienna. From St. Stephen's Cathedral, to the Vienna House of Music and the famous graveyard where Vienna's Maestos rest, the day will be filled with music history and sounds of Waltz. After free time for lunch on your own, enjoy two amazing private tours. First, a local guide brings you on an exclusive tour of the Schonbrunn Palace. See the home of the leaders of the Austrio Hungarian Empire as they lived in lavish estate. Next, enjoy a private visit to the home of Strauss for a tour that includes a special Viennese Waltz lesson. Enjoy a refreshing drink and delicious Viennese pastry at the cafe in the Strauss home. The evening is yours for dinner on your own. (B)
Day 7, Tuesday May 18: Vienna
After breakfast at your hotel, enjoy an exclusive private tour of Palais Augarten where the Vienna Boys Choir live, study, and train. Meet the head of music who will personally greet you and take you on your tour. This visit ends with your private 30 minute performance by the Vienna Boys Choir. Truly, this visit will be a life-long memory! After free time for lunch on your own, enjoy an exclusive guided tour of the Museum of Fine Arts. The evening is free for dinner on your own. Please note that while in Vienna, your group will enjoy an unforgettable evening at the Vienna State Opera (date and performance tbc when the yearly agenda is available). Your night at the opera will include premium orchestra seats and a private champagne and canape reception before the opera. (B,R)
Day 8, Wednesday May 19: Prague
After breakfast and hotel check-out, travel to the timelessly enchanting city of Prague. After check in and trime to freshen up at the hotel, enjoy an introductory walking tour of the city center with your Tour Manager before a delicious Prague welcome dinner at the historic Municipal House Cafe. (B,D)
Day 9, Thursday May 20: Prague
After breakfast at your hotel, a loical guide will lead you on a walking tour of the Prague Castle district including entrances to the Castle interiors. After free time for lunch on your own, travel a bit outside Prague to the Baroque Strahov Monastery for a special tour that includes exclusive "behind the red velvet ropes" tour of the Stahov Library. Return to the center of Prague and enjoy dinner on your own at one of the many restaurants. During your stay in Prague, enjoy premium orchestra seats to the Opera or Symphony (2027 schedule tbc). (B)
Day 10, Friday May 21: Prague
After breakfast at your hotel and a morning of leisure, enjoy a private guided tour of the Theatre of the Estate where Mozart conducted the premiere of his opera "Don Giovanni". The afternoon is free before your special Farewell dinner at the famous Imperial Cafe. (B,D)
Day 11, Saturday May 22: Departure
After breakfast and hotel check out, transfer to the airport for return flight to the United States. (B)
