Itinerary

The itinerary is the starting point to your tour, but it’s not set in stone. Your group leader may make changes leading up to departure.

Day 1, Friday July 16: Overnight Flight

Departure from the United States.

Day 2, Saturday July 17: Munich

Willkommen in Deutschland! Arrive at Munich Airport and meet your Encore Tour Manager. Check into your hotel and enjoy the rest of the day to relax, unpack and explore the beautiful city of Munich. Enjoy a welcome dinner at a local restaurant (D)

Day 3, Sunday July 18: Munich

This morning after a hearty German breakfast, take a guided tour of this beautiful city, taking in the iconic Frauenkirche, the Marienplatz and belltower, and the famous Viktualienmarkt food and flower market. The afternoon is free to further explore the city before an independent dinner tonight (B)

Day 4, Monday July 19: Munich

Atfter breakfast take a trip to visit the spectacular fairytale Neuschwanstein Castle, one of King Ludwig's lavish palaces built upon an imposing facade, and later the inspiration for all the Disney Castles! Later today perform your first concert, which could be a joint concert with local traditional musicians in the small town of Benediktbeuren, with a shared dinner together after your performance! (B,D)

Day 5, Tuesday July 20: Leipzig

This morning after checking out, journey north towards Leipzig, making an en route stop in the small city of Bayreuth, host to one of the most famous opera festivals in the world celebrating the works of Richard Wagner. Take time for an independent lunch and a tour of the Festspielhaus opera house, before continuing your journey to Leipzig in time for an independent dinner (B)

Day 6, Wednesday July 21: Leipzig

This morning enjoy a guided city tour of Leipzig with a local licensed English speaking guide. You will see St. Nikolai Church and St. Thomas Church, where Johann Sebastian Bach served for 27 years as Choirmaster of the St. Thomas Choir School! In St. Thomas Church, you will also find Bach's final resting place. You will then visit the Bach Museum next to St. Thomas's Church. This evening's concert is in a local church such as the NIkolaikirche in Wettin, followed by dinner together (B,D)

Day 7, Thursday July 22: Berlin

Depart for Berlin, arriving in time for a late lunch. This afternoon perform your next concert in a venue in the neighboring city of Potstam, in collaboration with a local choir: take dinner together with your new choir friends tonight! (B,D)

Day 8, Friday July 23: Berlin

This morning, following breakfast at the hotel, dive straight into the fascinating history of this once-divided city with a visit to the site of the Berlin Wall, the somber Holocaust Memorial, and Checkpoint Charlie, the famous crossing between East and West Berlin and an enduring symbol of the Cold War. Tonight perform your final concert of the tour in a welcoming church in Berlin (B)

Day 9, Saturday July 24: Berlin

Today continue your exploration of the Western half of the city with a tour of the iconic Berliner Philharmonie concert hall, before some free time shopping on the famous 'Ku-damm' shopping street. Tonight enjoy a farewell dinner in a traditional Berliner restaurant to celebrate your concert tour! (B,D)

Day 10, Sunday July 25: Departure

Transfer to the airport for return flight to the United States.
