Itinerary
The itinerary is the starting point to your tour, but it’s not set in stone. Your group leader may make changes leading up to departure.
Day 1, Tuesday May 11: Overnight Flight
Departure from the United States.
Day 2, Wednesday May 12: Athens
Arrive in Athens this morning and meet you Tour Manager at the airport! Settle into your hotel and enjoy dinner together this evening! (D)
Day 3, Thursday May 13: Athens
Enjoy a sightseeing tour of Athens today to learn about the ancient history of this capital city! Included is a visit to the Acropolis as well as the Acropolis Museum, two highlights of the city. Dinner tonight is in a local restaurant (B,D)
Day 4, Friday May 14: Cruise
Today after breakfast depart for the cruise port, from where you will depart on your 3-day Aegean cruise! Your first stop on the cruise today is the beautiful island of Mykonos, where you will have some free time to enjoy this lively and beautiful island. (B,D)
Day 5, Saturday May 15: Cruise
After breakfast on board, your cruise brings you to Kusadasi, Turkey today! Included is a guided tour of the Ephesus Archeaological Site. You will also see the House of Mary. Then you will transfer during lunch to the Greek island of Patmos, where you will visit the St. John Monastery and Apocaypse Grotto. Tonight sees a possible performance on board the ship (due to performance space limitations, this will require smaller ensembles to perform), before dinner on board (B,L,D)
Day 6, Sunday May 16: Cruise
Today after breakfast on board you will visit the island of Crete, including the Minoan Palace of Knossos in Heraklion. Then travel during lunch to beautiful Santorini for free exploration time. Dinner is on board the ship tonight during the cruise back to Athens. (B,L,D)
Day 7, Monday May 17: Kalambaka
After disembarking this morning back in Athens, depart for Meteora, an incredible geological region made of giant rocks soaring into the air. What is even more amazing are the monasteries that were built on top of the rocks! You will have the opportunity to visit one of the monasteries and explore this beautiful and unique place. Continue to Kalambaka for dinner and your overnight hotel (B,D)
Day 8, Tuesday May 18: Thessaloniki
This morning, depart for Thessaloniki. En route, visit for Veria, one of the cities where Apostle Paul visited and taught. Here you will visit the "Bema" or the altar that was made in honor of the Apostle. Continue on to Thessaloniki where your guided tour includes the Archaeological Museum. This museum contains artifacts from the Prehistoric, Archaic, Classical, Hellenistic, and Roman periods and is one of the largest museums in all of Greece! (B,D)
Day 9, Wednesday May 19: Thessaloniki
This morning enjoy exploring the food markets of Thessaloniki and learn about the history of the famous Greek taverna. This afternoon rehearse for your concert and perform in a prestigious venue such as the Aristotle University in the city, before a farewell dinner together. (B,D)
Day 10, Thursday May 20: Departure
Transfer to the airport for return flight to the United States. (B)
