Itinerary

The itinerary is the starting point to your tour, but it’s not set in stone. Your group leader may make changes leading up to departure.

Day 1, Monday May 31: Overnight Flight

Departure from the United States.

Day 2, Tuesday June 1: Lisbon

Bem vindo a Portugal! Meet your Encore Tour Manager and transfer to your hotel in Lisbon. Begin to unlock the secrets of this fascinating city, once the capital of the world's greatest maritime empire, with your Tour Manager this afternoon. Enjoy a welcome dinner in a local restaurant tonight. (D)

Day 3, Wednesday June 2: Lisbon

After breakfast, which is included each morning of the tour, enjoy a sightseeing tour with a local expert: your tour includes the Monument of the Discoveries, Alfáma district, Rossio Square and St. George's Castle before a visit inside Jerónimos Monastery and São Jorge Castle! Then rehearse and perform your debut concert of the tour at a local venue such as the Igreja de Nossa Senhora do Loreto church. Dinner tonight is after the concert as a group (B,D)

Day 4, Thursday June 3: Lisbon

Today after breakfast the day is free to explore the city of Lisbon at your leisure. Discover the pretty Bairro Alto district with its cute cobbled streets, vertiginous tram lines, and beautiful architecture, or spend time exploring the food and wine landscape of the city! Dinner tonight is independent (B)

Day 5, Friday June 4: Seville

After breakfast, depart across the plains of the Alentejo region towards the city of Evora, a UNESCO World Heritage city. Stop to stretch your legs, visit the old quarter of this Roman and medieval city and have some leisure time for lunch on your own. Then continue to Seville where upon arrival, you will check in to your hotel. Dinner tonight is independent. (B)

Day 6, Saturday June 5: Seville

This morning, enjoy time in this beautiful city, including a guided tour encompassing the Alcazar Palace and the Cathedral. The afternoon is at leisure to explore at your own pace and shop for souvenirs. Today you will perform your next concert in a church such as the Omnium Sanctorum, before an independent dinner (B)

Day 7, Sunday June 6: Granada

After checking out depart for visit Córdoba, where you will enjoy entrance to the city's famous Moorish Mezquita, an immense mosque dating from 784 A.D., featuring a columned prayer hall and older Byzantine mosaics. It became a Catholic church in 1236 and a Renaissance-style nave was added in the 17th century. Then depart for the enchanted Moorish city of Granada where you'll experience a flamenco workshop first-hand, before dinner together (B,D)

Day 8, Monday June 7: Granada

After breakfast, spend some time in Granada: as the English Poet Laurie Lee described, Granada is the most beautiful and haunting of all Spanish cities; "an African paradise set under the Sierras like a rose preserved in snow". Today you'll take a special guided visit of the Alhambra Palace complex, one of the most iconic settings in the whole of Spain. Tonight, perform your final concert at a local venue such as Iglesia De La Virgen De Las Angustias, a beautiful baroque church, home to the patron saint of Granada, followed by a farewell dinner together (B)

Day 9, Tuesday June 8: Departure

Transfer to the airport for return flight to the United States. (B)
