Choir Tour of The Baltics 2027

Itinerary

The itinerary is the starting point to your tour, but it’s not set in stone. Your group leader may make changes leading up to departure.

Day 1, Tuesday June 8: Overnight Flight

Depart from the US for your Performance tour of the Baltics.

Day 2, Wednesday June 9: Helsinki

Arrive in Hellsinki and be greeted by your Encore Tour Manager awaiting you in the arrivals hall. Transfer via private motorcoach to the city center for hotel check-in, a chance to freshen up and an introductory walking tour of the area with your Tour Manager. Enjoy a special welcome dinner at a local restaurant this evening. (D)

Day 3, Thursday June 10: Helsinki

After breakfast at your hotel, meet a local guide to lead you on a city tour of Helsinki visiting the most splendid places: Lutheran Cathedral by the Senate Square, the Uspensky Cathedral, the Governmental Palace, the University of Helsinki, the famous "Rock Church”. Enjoy free time this afternoon for lunch on your own before meeting to rehearse for this evening's premier concert performance. Dinner is under own arrangement this evening allowing you the freedom of a wide range of culinary options. (B)

Day 4, Friday June 11: Tallinn Estonia

Enjoy breakfast at your hotel before transfering to the port of Helsinki. Travel to your next destination of Tallinn via ferry. Upon arrival in Tallinn, enjoy free time for lunch on your own. This afternoon a local guide brings you on a wonderful Tallinn city tour visiting the upper (Toompea fortress and Parliament, Orthodox and Lutheran cathedrals, panoramic viewpoint) and lower (Town Hall square, Merchant Guild Houses) and parts of the old town. Also pass the beautiful Kadriorg park with its palace, the seaside area to look at the Russalka Monument and the Tallinn Song Festival Grounds, where the famous song festivals take place. After some time to relax and refresh, enjoy dinner together at a local restaurant. (B,D)

Day 5, Saturday June 12: Tallinn Estonia

After breakfast at your hotel, enjoy a morning visit to Fotografiska museum, a modern international photo museum where photography, art, and an open mind meet. Next, enjoy a short tour of Telliskivi creative city the creative hotspot of Tallin full of cafes, galleries and small designer shops. You'll have free time for lunch on your own in this vibrant area. This afternoon is reserved for rehearsal as you prepare for your evening concert in Tallinn. Following the performance, the evening is free to explore the food scene of Tallinn. (B)

Day 6, Sunday June 13: Riga

Depart this morning following breakfast and travel towards Gauja National Park, to explore Hill of Dainu, Gutmana cave, Sigulda castle ruins and the 13th century Turaida castle, built under the order of Teutonic knight and Riga‘s bishop. Lunch is provided today during your travel. Continue towards Riga and check-in at your hotel and enjoy this evening at your own pace with dinner on your own. (B,L)

Day 7, Monday June 14: Riga

A local guide will meet you after breakfast at your hotel and lead you on a three-hour tour through the old town, surrounded by a water channel, with the famous Dome cathedral, St. John and St. Peter churches, the Freedom Monument, National Opera, Parliament and the cosy spacious squares, and remarkable Art Nouveau district. Enjoy lunch together at a local restaurant and a free afternoon to explore on your own. Enjoy dinner on your own this evening to explore the local food scene. (B,L)

Day 8, Tuesday June 15: Vilnius

After breakfast and hotel check-out, depart for Vilnius. Stop in Rundale for a short excursion to the Rundale Palace, a baroque jewel designed by Italian architect F.B. Rastrelli, who is known for his world-famous Hermitage Palace in St. Petersburg. Lunch is included at a local restaurant today. Continue to the Hill of Crosses, with over 50,000 crosses built from different materials. The Hill of Crosses is Lithuanian’s most important pilgrimage site and signifies the peaceful endurance of Lithuanian people despite the threats they faced throughout history. Upon arrival in Vilnius, check in at your hotel and enjoy a free evening to explore the city and dine on your own. (B,L)

Day 9, Wednesday June 16: Vilnius

Following breakfast, meet a local guide and enjoy a morning city tour including Cathedral Square, Presidential Palace Square, Vilnius University, the gothic corner with the churches of St. Anne and St. Bernardine, the old Jewish ghetto, Town Hall Square, and Gates of Dawn. Enjoy free time for lunch on your own before afternoon rehearsal and your farewell concert in Vilnius. Enjoy a special farewell dinner to celebrate a fantastic concert tour! (B,D)

Day 10, Thursday June 17: Departure

After breakfast at your hotel and check out, transfer to the airport with your Tour Manager(s) for your return flight to Phoenix. (B)
