The Bach Choir of Bethlehem Bachfest 2027

The itinerary is the starting point to your tour, but it’s not set in stone. Your group leader may make changes leading up to departure.

Day 1, Tuesday June 8: Overnight Flight

Departure from Newark Airport on your overnight flight to Germany and the 2027 Bachfest!

Day 2, Wednesday June 9: Leipzig

Arrive in Leipzig and meet your Encore Tour Managers. Transfer to the Hotel Seaside Park for check-in and time to refresh and explore Leipzig. Enjoy a festive welcome dinner together at the hotel or a local restaurant this evening. (D)

Day 3, Thursday June 10: Leipzig

After breakfast at your hotel, enjoy your first full day in historic Leipzig as you begin your participation in Bachfest 2027! Should you not be performing in the first concert and in rehearsals, you may opt to depart for an overnight excursion to Herrnhut for an added of cost of $180 per person in double occupancy. This excursion includes a stop in Dresden for a guided tour, overnight accommodations in double occupancy at The Komensky Gaste und Tagungshaus, a guided tour of Herrnhut, and dinner at a local restaurant. Day 4, Friday June 11: Leipzig

Enjoy your day as you participate in Bachfest 2027! For those who have opted for the optional Herrnhut excursion, today you'll have a sightseeing tour of Herrnhut and return to Leipzig for the overnight. Those participating in Bachfest rehearsals will have morning and evening rehearsals TBD.Enjoy dinner on your own in Leipzig this evening. (B)

Day 5, Saturday June 12: Leipzig

Enjoy a guided sightseeing tour of Leipzig this morning with entrance included to Thomaskirche, the Bach Archives, and The Mendelssohn House. Lunch at a local restaurant is included for all Bach Choir of Bethlehem tour participants today. Performers will have a sound check/stage rehearsal today TBD. Prepare for your first performance in Bachfest 2027! (B,L)

Day 6, Sunday June 13: Leipzig

Today is yours to experience Bachfest 2027. Choir rehearsal this evening is at St. Peter's Church. Enjoy dinner on your own this evening. (B)

Day 7, Monday June 14: Leipzig

Awake this morning on your final day in Leipzig. After breakfast at your hotel, prepare for your final performance this evening at Bachfest 2027. There is a choir rehearsal this afternoon TBD. A special lunch is provided at the Auerbachkeller today, as well as a post-concert reception with light refreshments. (B,L,R)

Day 8, Tuesday June 15: Departure

Transfer to the airport for return flight to the United States. (B)
