Itinerary

The itinerary is the starting point to your tour, but it’s not set in stone. Your group leader may make changes leading up to departure.

Day 1, Thursday April 15: Overnight Flight

Departure from the United States.

Day 2, Friday April 16: Dublin

Meet your Encore Tour Manager at Dublin airport and transfer into the center. On arrival, a local guide will give you a morning sightseeing tour of the famous city's highlights including a walk through Trinity College and entrance to its incredible library to view the beautifully illustrated Book of Kells. Continue to your hotel and check in to freshen up, settle in and relax. This evening, enjoy a welcome dinner together at your hotel. (D)

Day 3, Saturday April 17: Dublin

Today enjoy a full day's exchange day with the Loreto High School and Tathfarnham Concert Band (pending approval). Lunch will be included today at the school. Tonight, get ready for an evening of traditional Irish food and music at the Merry PloughBoy Pub! (B,L,D)

Day 4, Sunday April 18: Dublin

This morning, visit EPIC, the Irish immigration museum which gives a fascinating history and insight into the Irish migration around the world. You'll then visit Christchurch Cathedral. The cathedral was begun in 1038 by King Sitric Silkenbeard, the Danish Viking King of Dublin, and is officially claimed as the seat of both the Church of Ireland and Roman Catholic archbishops of Dublin. Contained in the cathedral is the reputed tomb of Strongbow, a medieval Norman-Welsh peer and warlord who came to Ireland at the request of King Diarmuid MacMorrough, and whose arrival marked the beginning of English involvement in Ireland. A packed lunch is included today, followed by a joint afternoon concert at a local school, alongside the students from yesterday's exchange (pending approval)! (B,L,D)

Day 5, Monday April 19: Bristol

Check out of your hotel and transfer to the ferry terminal. Board the ferry for Holyhead. On arrival in Wales, board your UK coach and continue through the scenic countryside to Bristol. Check into your next hotel and have dinner together. (B,D)

Day 6, Tuesday April 20: London

This morning enjoy the beautiful Roman and Georgian city of Bath. Your Tour Managers will take you on an orientation walk throughout the city, showing you many of the city's sights. Entrance is included to the Roman Baths. This afternooon, travel to London, check in and have dinner on your own. Tonight attend a West End Show. (B)

Day 7, Wednesday April 21: London

This morning, you'll have free time to explore London at your own pace. Your Tour Managers will show you some of London's highlights, such as the Houses of Parliament, Big Ben, Trafalgar Square, Buckingham Palace, St Paul's Cathedral and Piccadilly Circus. Entrance is included to Westminster Abbey. Tonight will be your farewell dinner with memories to last a life time. (B,D)

Day 8, Thursday April 22: Departure

Transfer to the airport for return flight to the United States. (B)
