Itinerary
The itinerary is the starting point to your tour, but it’s not set in stone. Your group leader may make changes leading up to departure.
Day 1, Friday April 16: Overnight Flight
Departure from the United States.
Day 2, Saturday April 17: London
Arrive in London! Upon arrival at London Heathrow Airport (LHR), your group will be met by 4 private motorcoaches for transfer into central London and hotel check-in, while a dedicated instrument van transports all musical instruments. After settling in, Encore Tour Managers will escort the group on a guided afternoon tour, taking in London’s iconic sights such as Big Ben, the Houses of Parliament, Westminster Abbey, Trafalgar Square, and Piccadilly Circus en route to Covent Garden, where the group can explore historic streets, watch street performances, and enjoy the vibrant atmosphere. The afternoon provides a perfect introduction to the city, after which the group returns to the hotel for an overnight stay and dinner at the hotel.
Day 3, Sunday April 18: London
Begin your day with a guided visit to the Tower of London, accompanied by your Encore Tour Managers, who will provide historical context and introduce this iconic landmark. In the afternoon, you may add a full concert performance at Holy Trinity Sloane Square for a supplementary fee. This stunning, acoustically rich venue offers an exceptional setting for both choral and instrumental ensembles and provides a memorable experience for performers and local audiences alike. If not have time to explore London on the Tube with oyster cards provided. Conclude the day with a visit to the London Eye, where you will enjoy breathtaking panoramic views of the city skyline. Dinner at the hotel this evening.
Day 4, Monday April 19: London
The day begins with a guided tour of Westminster Abbey, including entrance and expert commentary from Blue Badge London Guides, offering a fascinating look at one of London’s most historic and architecturally stunning sites. Next, the group will visit Kensington Palace, exploring the royal residences and beautiful gardens while learning about British history and royalty. Following the palace visit, the group will enjoy a guided tour of London’s West End, taking in iconic streets, theaters, and landmarks with commentary from the Blue Badge Guides. The day concludes with a West End show, providing a memorable theatrical experience in the heart of London’s vibrant entertainment district. Dinner on your own this evening.
Day 5, Tuesday April 20: Bristol
The day begins with a visit to Stratford-upon-Avon, accompanied by Encore Tour Managers for a guided walking tour of the historic town, including time to explore Holy Trinity Church and the Royal Shakespeare Theatre at a leisurely pace. Guests will also enjoy free time for lunch on their own, soaking in the charm of this quintessential English town. In the afternoon, the journey continues to the picturesque Lacock Village, known for its historic streets and timeless beauty, before traveling onward to Bristol for the evening, offering a scenic and culturally rich transition between destinations.Dinner together this evening at the hotel.
Day 6, Wednesday April 21: Bristol
The day features a music exchange with a local school, with arrangements currently being made with Kingswood School in Bath, who are excited to connect with Ipswich High School. On Wednesday, April 21, 2027, music teachers from both schools will lead masterclasses and rehearsals, giving students the opportunity to collaborate, learn from one another, and prepare for a joint performancet. Following the sessions, the groups will share a casual meal, such as lunch or dinner, with plans to enjoy takeaway pizzas and dessert together, fostering camaraderie and providing a fun, relaxed conclusion to the day’s musical collaboration.
Day 7, Thursday April 22: Bristol
Enjoy a day of sightseeing in Bristol and Bath with your Encore Tour Managers. The schedule will be planned around the music exchange and concert with Kingswood School, with exact timing to be confirmed following the school directors’ site inspection. This flexible approach ensures a smooth and enriching experience for all participants. In Bristol, visit the historic docks for a guided tour of Brunel’s SS Great Britain, including entrance to the ship and museum. Continue on to Bath, where you will explore the city’s celebrated Roman Baths, with entrance included. Experience the site’s remarkable history and striking Georgian architecture. The sightseeing schedule will adjust as needed depending on whether the joint performance is confirmed for Wednesday or Thursday. This evening, enjoy a Farewell Dinner together.
Day 8, Friday April 23: Departure
Transfer to the airport for return flight to the United States. (B)
