Day 1, Monday April 12: New Orleans
Arrive in New Orleans, Louisiana! Meet your Encore Tours Tour Manager and board the motorcoach for your comfortable hotel. This afternoon, begin your exploration of New Orleans with a visit to the The National World War II Museum and a viewing of the "Beyond All Boundaries" Imax Movie. This evening learn the art of Creole cooking during a cooking demonstration class! (D)
Day 2, Tuesday April 13: New Orleans
After breakfast at the hotel, set out on a guided tour of New Orleans, exploring its rich history, vibrant culture, and distinctive architecture. Travel through the elegant Garden District with its grand mansions and oak-lined streets, then continue into the historic French Quarter, where you'll have free time for lunch in the historic French Market. This afternoon, participate in a clinic at Loyola University New Orleans (pending final scheduling and availability).This evening, enjoy dinner and dancing at Mulate’s Cajun Restaurant, followed by a ghost tour of New Orleans. Day 3, Wednesday April 14: New Orleans
Today visit Mardi Gras World and learn about New Orlean's most famous celebration as you get a behind the scenes look at how the floats are made. This afternoon, see a live jazz performance at the legendary Preservation Hall! Tonight enjoy dinner with a $20 Game Card at Dave and Busters! (B,D)
Day 4, Thursday April 15: New Orleans
This morning, discover the unique ecosystems of the Bayou during a Cajun Pride Swamp Tour. A boxed lunch is included today. Then your excursion continues to the Laura Plantation where you will learn about the lives of four generations of one Louisiana Creole family, both free and enslaved, of this historic plantation. This evening, enjoy a farewell Jazz cruise dinner! (B,L,D)
Day 5, Friday April 16: Departure
This morning, have free time to pick up some last minute souvenirs before transferring to the airport for your return trip home. (B)
