Itinerary

The itinerary is the starting point to your tour, but it’s not set in stone. Your group leader may make changes leading up to departure.

Day 1, Saturday December 26: Overnight Flight

Departure from New York for your performance tour in Spain!

Day 2, Sunday December 27: Madrid

Arrive in Spain's capitol city, Madrid this morning and meet your Tour Manager in the arrivals hall. Transfer to your Madrid hotel for check in and time to rest and refresh before an introductory walking tour of the area. Enjoy dinner together at your hotel this evening. (B,D)

Day 3, Monday December 28: Madrid

Madrid's rich heritage comes alive on your guided sightseeing tour of classic Spanish boulevards, grand plazas, and the diverse architecture of modern-day Madrid. Highlights include the Plaza de Espagna with its statue of Don Quixote. Then breeze past the crowds with your timed reservation to visit the magnificent Prado, one of the world's premier art museums. Here, an expert provides illuminating commentary via personal headsets on the artwork of Velazquez, Goya, Raphael, Rubens, and Bosch. Even the 18th-century Neo-Classical building that houses the collection is stunning. After some free time in the afternoon, come together for rehearsal for your first concert in Spain! Celebrate your performance with dinner at a local restaurant this evening. (B,D)

Day 4, Tuesday December 29: Valencia

After breakfast depart for valencia. Before arriving in Valencia, enjoy a stop in Toledo. Get to know the old Visigothic capital of Toledo. With an expert local guide giving commentary via personal headsets, explore the beautiful San Juan de los Reyes monastery where an informal sing may be possible. After free time for lunch on your own, continue to your hotel in Valencia for check in and dinner at a local restaurant. (B,D)

Day 5, Wednesday December 30: Valencia

After breakfast at your hotel, enjoy a visit to the famous Valencia aqauarium. The Oceanogràfic in Valencia, Spain, is Europe's largest aquarium, located within the iconic City of Arts and Sciences. Tours offer exploration of major marine ecosystems, including shark tunnels, a dolphinarium, Arctic, and Red Sea habitats. This afternoon, there is time reserved for rehearsal for your farewell concert in Spain! Enjoy dinner together following your performance. (B,D)

Day 6, Thursday December 31: Valencia

After breakfast at your hotel, a local guide shows you the wonders of Valencia. Founded as a Roman colony, Valencia boasts one of the largest historic centers in Spain, with a wealth of ancient monuments and cultural attractions. This morning you'll start to discover Valencia's rich heritage on a guided sightseeing tour, which includes visiting the city's cathedral, seeing the old silk exchange and taking a panoramic drive along the grand boulevards to view the impressive architecture of the Ciudad de las Artes y Ciencias. Ring in the New Year with a festive dinner together at the hotel complete with music. (B,D)

Day 7, Friday January 1: Departure

After breakfast and check out, transfer to the airport for return flight to the United States. (B)
