Itinerary

The itinerary is the starting point to your tour, but it’s not set in stone. Your group leader may make changes leading up to departure.

Day 1, Sunday June 27: Overnight Flight

Depart from D.C for your concert tour of Belgium and The Netherlands.

Day 2, Monday June 28: Bruges

Arrive in Brussels and meet your Tour Manager before boarding your coach to transfer to Bruges, Belgium. Enjoy a guided introduction with your Tour Manager to the beautifully preserved medieval city. Walk through the historic heart of Bruges, beginning at Markt Square, the lively central plaza framed by ornate guild houses. View the iconic Belfry from the exterior, a symbol of Bruges’ medieval prosperity, and continue through the picturesque canal district, where winding waterways and cobblestone streets reveal why Bruges is often called the “Venice of the North".Check into your hotel, Enjoy a canal cruise after and this evening, gather for a welcome dinner in a historic local restaurant, offering a warm introduction to Belgian cuisine and a memorable start to your performance tour. a (D)

Day 3, Tuesday June 29: Bruges

This morning, you'll have your first rehearsal of the tour. Today's musical visits will bring you to the Church of Our Lady and St. Salvator’s Cathedral, subject to opening times. These churches are two of Bruges’ most significant musical landmarks. Then for an enjoy a chocolate workshop! This afternoon, transfer to your venue where you'll rehearse for your debut concert performance. Venue options include historic venues such as St. Giles Church or similar. Enjoy dinner together this evening. (B,D)

Day 4, Wednesday June 30: Brussels

This morning check out of your hotel and depart for Ghent, one of Belgium’s most beautifully preserved medieval cities. Enjoy a canal cruise and have free time for lunch. Then continue to Brussels, the capital city, and check into your next hotel. Enjoy a group dinner together tonight. (B,D)

Day 5, Thursday July 1: Brussels

This morning, discover Brussels during a guided sightseeing tour. You'll see the the Grand Place (UNESCO-listed central square), the Royal Galleries, and the Manneken Pis. Today you'll have your second concert performance at a local venue, such as the Cathedral of St. Michael & St. Gudula or similar. Your group may opt to add additional sightseeing on this day today at a supplemental cost. Options include a guided behind-the-scenes tour of La Monnaie, one of Europe’s most innovative opera houses, a visit the renowned BOZAR – Centre for Fine Arts, a cultural hub showcasing music, visual arts, and architecture, or the Music Instrument Museum. Enjoy a group dinner together this evening. (B,D)

Day 6, Friday July 2: Amsterdam

After a morning transfer by coach to Amsterdam. En route, visit to Zaanse Schans, a picturesque open-air museum showcasing historic windmills, traditional Dutch homes, and local crafts, offering a glimpse into everyday life in the Netherlands during the 18th and 19th centuries. There is time to visit Antwerp or Rotterdam if you choose on the way. Continue to Amsterdam where you'll check into your next hotel and have dinner together. (B,D)

Day 7, Saturday July 3: Amsterdam

Enjoy breakfast this morning before discovering Amsterdam on a canal cruise, the best way to experience Amsterdam’s UNESCO canal belt and merchant-house architecture. This afternoon, rehearse and perform your next concert of the tour. Venue options include a local historic church, or as part of a school exchange performance with a local ensemble. Enjoy dinner together this evening. (B,D)

Day 8, Sunday July 4: Amsterdam

This morning, visit the Anne Frank House (subject to confirmation due to high demand; in case this cannot be confirmed, the visit will be substituted with the Rijksmuseum). Today your group may opt to participate in a clinic with local Dutch musicians for a supplemental cost, or enjoy a tour of the Concertgebouw for a supplemental cost. Enjoy dinner together this evening. (B,D)

Day 9, Monday July 5: Amsterdam

This morning after breakfast, enjoy a bike tour of Amsterdam led by a knowledgeable guide for an additional cost. Later is yours to further enjoy Amsterdam at leisure for final sightseeing and shopping along Amsterdam’s charming canals and lively squares. An optional guided bike tour is available, offering a quintessential Dutch experience as you explore the city like a local. This evening, gather together for a festive farewell dinner to celebrate your unforgettable journey before returning to your hotel for your final overnight in Amsterdam. (B,D)

Day 10, Tuesday July 6: Departure

After breakfast at your hotel and check out, transfer to the Amsterdam airport for your return flight to home. (B)
