Itinerary

This itinerary is the starting point for your tour, but it’s not set in stone. If there are days you would like to change, or specific places you’d like to go, we can work with you to create a personalized program that fits the needs of you and your students.

Day 1: New York City

Arrive in New York City and meet your ACIS Tour Manager at the world-renowned American Museum of Natural History. Begin your visit with lunch on your own in the cafeteria, then tour the permanent exhibits in one of the largest museums in the world. Have dinner in Times Square.

Day 2: New York City

Begin your day with a visit to the United Nations General Headquarters where you will be taken on a guided tour of the Security Council Chamber and the 2070-seat General Assembly Hall. Enjoy lunch on your own at Grand Central Station before a brief visit to Manhattan’s Chinatown, a densely populated neighborhood where the highest concentration of Chinese people outside of Asia resides. Next, visit the Museum of Jewish Heritage, a living memorial to those who perished during the Holocaust. After your tour, walk via the Hudson River Promenade to the Winter Garden at the World Trade Center, then walk underground to the National September 11 Memorial. After dinner, walk to One World Observatory, where you’ll make a 60-second, 100-story ascent to the top of the One World Observatory.

Day 3: New York City

After breakfast transfer to the Intrepid Sea, Air and Space Museum, a retired aircraft carrier and now National Historic Landmark, moored on midtown Manhattan’s west side. After lunch, take a behind-the-scenes NBC Studio Tour where you'll visit Studio 8H, home of Saturday Night Live. Before you leave Rockefeller Center, you will also walk with your guide through the Channel Gardens and across Fifth Avenue, to the 150-year-old Saint Patrick's Cathedral. After dinner, visit Madame Tussaud’s Wax Museum before ending your day with a group photograph at the spectacularly illuminated Times Square, “the Crossroads of the World".

Day 4: Departure

This morning, board the ferry for a short ride to Liberty Island, where you’ll have time to take photographs of the 300-foot-high Statue of Liberty. Next stop: Ellis Island, the beautifully restored immigration depot through which 17,000,000 people passed between 1892 and 1954, during the greatest wave of migration the world has ever known. Arrive at Battery Park, then walk to Brookfield Place for lunch on your own.
